I graduated Basic training on this same day. I was alone, with no family able to make the trip from Georgia. So, I was overjoyed to see so many proud families like yours in attendance. Thanks for posting this. 💫

B 3-5 Ft Dix 1980 then returned as AIT instructor 1987 MTOC use to screw up the traffic with our convoys.

Absolutely awesome! I went to Fort Dix for basic May-July 1987. D-239 4th platoon. We were right across from Doughboy field. It'd be great to reconnect with other soldiers that did as well.

Graduated from Fort Dix in August of 1986. My Drill SSgt was Drill Sgt.Valentini. Changed my life! Went to a basic training graduation at Fort Jackson 3 years ago. I was so disappointed! The barracks were not clean, drains in latrine not polished, bunks not sharp…. It was not my basic. I actually had anxiety. Lol. So thankful for what I went through.

I wonder if anyone here would remember a Joe valdastri; he was at ft nix during this time and I think he said he ended up in ft sill ok just before the desert storm . Although he’s passed on, He was someone special in my life . Thank guys ! ❤️

I am looking for pictures or a picture of my brother. He was in basic at For Dix NJ, Army. I believe 1973. My brother passed away in 2013 and I don’t have not even one picture of him. Please, please… I need to know where can I find a picture of my brother.

1987 during the cold war they rotated national guard troops to South Korea to beef it up. It was called Team Spirit. Any older Korean knows this name. That was 1987 for me. 1975 was my basic at ft Polk then three years in Germany. 3 yrs regular; 8 years national guard. Infantry then POL as tanker truck driver and tank farm set up and operation. Air Force brat also. Military is my family.

E -2-39/1989 3:33 home of the ultimate Warrior,ft Dix NJ and 3 Hurd platoon ,Big G to all my Brother and Sisters was the best training platoon the 3rd and Great times we had at Ft Dixeyland. As we called it 😅 but was the best training any solider could of gotten. And great vid of Graduation on doughboy field ! The day we became Us Army Soldiers. A day I will never forget Hooray

@@stevebrewer3174 I was in Delta Company. Had a great group of guys that graduated with me. Some went with me to Ft. Hood 1st Cav and then on to Germany in 1979. I had a great time in the service.
