We talked to them as a demolition company pursuing the tear down, we were told they are keeping the property to rebuild. No details. The info was from an employee.

Why are there still so many dead trees and garbage laying around? I can't believe the town allows this to still not be taken care of. It's been almost 2.5 yrs. No excuse for the dead landscaping, trees and garbage.

I want to tell you that it's really hard to tell which buildings you're talking about. You say this green building, but you're not pointing, and really the color of the building doesn't show up in the video. You talk about this is the first building I tore down and then I tore down this building and I tore down this building, but you're not pointing you're just moving and there's multiple buildings so who knows which buildings you're talking about. If you were walking and pointing or in a vehicle with someone else driving where you could point on camera, your comments would make sense, but a lot of them just don't mean anything.

Climate change and rising sea levels will make properties in low lying areas and coastal areas impossible to insure. Banks will be reluctant to give a mortgage for 15 or 30 years because the property may be under water. Selling properties to average buyers will become impossible in the future as banks and mortgage companies stop making loans for these properties. Coastal areas are a high risk for insurance and extreme weather like hurricanes. People will have to self insure and take the risk of loss. Condo associations are losing their insurance and if they find a new higher cost policy they will be passing on the higher costs to association members. Flooded cars from hurricanes fill the salvage lots. Insurance companies will raise rates and pass on the costs and risks to policy holders next year. Coastal properties will be confined to wealthy individuals that can buy properties with cash and self insure for losses from hurricanes or rising sea levels.

Ummm sure it will. Don't feed into the bullshit. Beach erosion is the ONLY reason the water level was closer, no rising sea levels. Same song and dance for the last 60 years and nothing changed.

@@georose33 I agree with the rising seas, I have not noticed anything different since 2003. I believe mother nature can do what ever it wants. Is there a human impact, I am sure there is not clear on what that is.

@@removeitprosdemolition As you know Cape Coral's canals were carved out in the 1950s. None of those canals are currently over their seawalls.
