Soooo awesome, Roxanne!! Do you think that there will be seashells in heaven?
@FloridaBeachWalks2 ай бұрын
Oh my goodness I have so thought of that before and from what the Bible says there will be no more death. Soooooo I do believe there will be shells but they will all be alive and well and in pure perfection can enjoy them even more than collecting them; hard to believe but there is a verse that comes to mind that say, “But as it is written, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Corinthians 2:9) So with that I know my mind can’t even comprehend what glories await. It’ll be amazing in whatever new way enjoying His creations will be 🙏🏼 Now we enjoy the empty shells and our encounters with the live ones-then who knows all I know is that our minds right now can’t even imagine how much more it’ll be. ❤️ That to me is good news 🙌🏽🐚

You found many beautiful shells on your beach walk. I wish you could park somewhere in the south end far enough down that you did not need to go around that condo. My balance isn’t the best so I am afraid to try that. Oh well. I enjoy watching both you and Sharmon find beautiful shells there.
@FloridaBeachWalks2 ай бұрын
Thank you ❤️🐚 Yes it’s unfortunate about that condo. In looking from Google maps at how odd it’s angled compared to all the others I can’t believe that passed city code to even go up even w/no beach erosion when building 🤔 This is my 2 cents worth but if you have to build a wall to protect yourself from erosion and that blocks public access then you need to build a walkway for the public or work something out with the city where you provide at least 3 public parking spaces at the side of your building and have a public access path point. In Melbourne beach by me there is a condo that has done that. There are 3 parking spots next to their building with a path down to the beach and a little dinky sign that says public access that no one sees hidden behind a pole 🤣 and I’m sure that condo has some kinda tax benefit for doing that. Anyways, I’m happy to share. I’d like to come back at some point. I’m on the east coast so this beach is 3 1/2hrs for me to get to. Take care ❤️

Awww thx for the offer ❤️ Well you made my evening with this comment!! I was just replying to another viewer that I can’t wait to get over to honeymoon again 👍🏼 It’s been toooo long since I last went there last. Have you ever walked out all the way to the end? We tried but didn’t make it w/the 2 kids 🙃 I hope you find your bonnet soon! If you’d like to find an East Coast scotch bonnet, definitely give MacArthur State Park a chance if you come over this way during the winter, you are definitely bound to find one there. I find them in Hobe Sound too 👍🏼 Take care and have a blessed week!

@@FloridaBeachWalks I have walked to the end but because of erosion I can no longer walk between the islands. Bummer. I didn’t find many shells at the end too. Have you taken the ferry to Caladesi? Hi Roxann! Wow, the shells were really coming thick and fast in this one; there was so much to find here! I wonder if this beach has a lot of shells all the time, and not just after a storm? It might not hurt to check it every now and then :D I think I was most impressed with the hinged bivalves this time; a few of them I'd never seen hinged before! I liked that comparison of the West Indian Fighting Conch; it was probably my favourite find today because they don't seem that usual? Thank you for the beautiful big beach walk~ PS I was hoping to see the Auger at 8:14 to the left of the screen - they're cute little shells!!
@FloridaBeachWalks2 ай бұрын
Hey Maddie! Oh I definitely will be back to check it out. Based on another channel’s videos there (SWF Beach Life) it seems to be a nice spot to shell on a regular basis but I think the storm did push way more in that pass area than usual??? Still don’t really know. The islands just south of there I’ve found lots of shells in the pass over there before (not after a storm). This is a 3 1/2hr drive for me across the state so it’ll be on my list when I get the chance to pop over to the west coast again. The augers I guess were not on the brain 🙃 when there is so much to look at my eyes just dart the bigger stuff I guess 🤣 Oh me oh my! Thx for watching-this was a fun one ❤️🐚

@@FloridaBeachWalks That’s a big day trip away from the family 😮 and it’s a long way to go if there isn’t an absolute guarantee of shells being there. Definitely worth keeping an eye on the place… the storm must have pushed a lot towards that part of the coast: maybe keep checking the weather apps for wind/current directions for that area, and go when they are similar to this storm? You will hopefully have good results!

@@SandCoffeeRocks My family was with me--just my teen daughter stayed home w/grandma b/c she had school. I homeschool my son and Ella didn't start school yet (I have 3 kids) and my husband had that week off and I work for myself as a graphic designer from home. They were in the hotel still when I went to Fort Myers that morning and later after we all were in Marco before heading back home across the state. I've made the trip several times across the state just for a day trip. Most times finding shells but sometimes not too much but it's always a fun trip. a few hours drive to me is nothing. I'm use to far distances. My favorite "local" beaches for me is 1-1.5hrs drive. My closest beach is 30 mins away (I'm only 6 miles from the beach but there are no causeways straight across I have to go way north or way south to catch a causeway). Anyways, in the car drives I listen to stories, Bible, etc so it keeps me busy and I'm like "oh here already". I go with my besty too which we are never on a time clock together and time flies. Anyways, the beach trips that yield in really nothing are fun just to "be there."

It's always fun to "meet" another barefoot beach-walker. I love your color descriptions -- chocolate, mahogany. honey. :-) Appreciate the little critter facts you pop up on the screen with the IDs, adds just that little bit extra to your videos! BTW, I learned from another you tuber (Michelle of Echoue Bijoux) that the best way to clean sea urchins isn't bleach. Put them in your back yard and let the ants do the work! Hope you feel better soon; I know what you mean about back-to-school bugs. Thanks for sharing how gorgeously that true tulip cleaned up!
