What an insane world we live in. The fact that a person we chose to save and protect communities, feels it necessary to lie to the community.

"placed on administrative leave" not arrested for lying or leaving the scene of an accident or detained until more information is obtained. just placed on leave. amazing

For anyone that wants to know Administrative Leave means that he's not a police officer (as of right now) but he still gets payed & keeps his benefits and insurances. All he has to do is just lay low and stay home for a bit and he'll be back in that patrol car in ab 2wks

This is sickening, they're human beings who are giving WAY too much stature & leniency. I've witnessed too many cowardly/illegal acts by these fugazi "heroes."

Honesty in your official duties as an officer or judge is paramount and should be a reason for immediate termination……..those positions lying is literally playing with peoples lives! 🤨🤷🏽‍♂️

How can they say they take "things like this serious" when he lied to them, then confessed but STILL remains on the police force. They say one thing but mean another. Look at the actions not the words. This man should be in the police department but on the other side of the bars.

The union is most likely the reason he's still employed. Would you prefer the PD violate the union contract and then get sued by the officer and your tax dollars go towards the settlement? By no means am I defending the PD; I'm just saying that the police unions often have management's hands tied, even in egregious situations like this.

@@edg456 It is the corrupt city government that makes the contracts with the corrupt unions. That's why we have corrupt law enforcement. Our entire government is corrupt.

When I was 10 years old the first female police officer in our town on her first day on the job hit me with her patrol car and I was pronounced dead at the scene. I suffered brain trauma and was in a coma. They lied about that too
