Come with us the the Fort Yargo 18th Century Market Fair. The Friends of Fort Yargo present this event each year at the beginning of April. It is a wonderful weekend full of living history demonstrations, shopping, and activities.
Atlanta Historic Dance provided a historical dance program for the event as well as a short presentation about fashion of the period. To learn more about Atlanta Historic Dance please see our Facebook page: / atlantahistoricdance
Fort Yargo was one of three original trading posts built by The Humphries Brothers Trading Company. Fort Yargo, along with another fort at Scull Shoals and a third near present day Commerce, Georgia, were a major attempt to set up an effective series of trading stations among the Upper Creek

I took my kids to this and it was amazing. We made corn husks dolls and I love the older couples store where you got the loom. I bought 18th century games from them and the kids ended up playing with them a lot during the summer! Wonderful market and amazing people!

You look like you were born in that area. I saw a man demonstrating what do you call it a weaver. I don't know but it look pretty easy when you get the hang of it. I love the old barn back ground. See you later.
