Thanks for sharing this it was very helpful. I have to practice,practice,practice because I've never been good at math. I shared this with my son and friend who are also in college and they said to tell you God bless you as a true concerned teacher.

2:11 ...SHIT! At first it didn’t make sense to me...I hadn’t got it, I mean. But then I worked out how you got the answer from the question backwards. And made everything regular numbers being...3x24 =72 which is 7 tens and 2 pieces of ten like wow all I needed was the answer. Give it to me and I will work it backwards......so now that I get the method...and now I understand the rest! Yay 감사합니다 😊

Are you familiar with the AFOQT? It's similar to the ASVAB. I am stressed over the math portion o of this test? If you're familiar with the test, do you have any advice?
@FortBendTutoring5 жыл бұрын
I’m not familiar with that exam. However, as with all standardized exams; you want to begin studying using the publisher’s (company that made the exam) study guide and any released previous exams they allow the public to use for test preparation. Complete those guides and released exams to highlight what subject areas you’re weak at. From there, learn and practice those weak areas until you’ve mastered them. If you’re not capable of teaching yourself, find someone to teach it to you for free or for pay. Good luck Mitchell!

@@FortBendTutoring Thank you, Mr. Whitt. I have been utilizing your videos since high school. I'm in college now, and you have helped me pass the ASVAB for military basic training, and now your videos are helping me with the AFOQT for officer school. I know factorials, percentages, and polynomials will be on my test. I feel the most uncertain about word problems, I never know where to start.

Thank you so much for this, Mr. Whitt! Also, you can simplify 15/20 and get the answer of 3/4, which if you convert to decimals is 0.75, which is in percent is 75%. :)

For problem #2, why can you cross multiply for the last step but not the previous step?
@FortBendTutoring6 жыл бұрын
You can, but I chose to simplify the right side of the equation first.
