Good review, just the right amount of time to understand the particulars. The black dial is a Tudor look alike (no top hat crystal) for $220. The lovely blue dial looks more like an Oris, also $220. Strong entry level offering.

I love the execution of the date window, not a fan of the pressure clasp though and would love to see a 42 mm.

Everything seems solid and thought through. The date window is genius. Unfortunately I prefer a little more flair and color in the overall design, so this one is not for me. It is a very respectable first attempt imho.

Agreed. Bland but beautifully done. And at $200 USD? Pretty good. I think these points alone will make it sell. However, I could see people moving on from this watch rather quickly as the watch doesn’t really demand long-term attention.

The price is the most interesting thing about it - I hope low prices are sustainable and watches like this one keep prices down on more interesting releases. Otherwise, the trilobite is neat. +1pt for a 6 o'clock date. Umm... yeah? Does anyone else think the logo looks like an abbreviated menorah?

It is a nice watch and reasonably priced, not very spectacular looking . Snowflake hands would have looked better imo, but that would take away any originality left in this design. I love the caseback, looks great! Thanks!

Apart from the loss of aesthetics after they change that date to white on black it’ll be a lot harder to read and a damn nuisance each time it needs setting. The date rule should be unless you can make it immediately legible don’t bother at all. Although hats off for its position. Overall it’s a handsome design and looks promising but like others are saying a bit too simplistic and derivative - almost like they want kudos for not closely mimicking a Rolex Sub.

Good value, seems like it has good execution. I like the date position and bracelet design but overall design is just too generic (or boring). Hands are unattractive. Wish for a little more imagination and bravery from Microbrands.

So you would remove an original Tudor hand set, the only thing that is originally Tudor's and put a generic unoriginal sword hands. And you would get something that has no distinct Tudor design. Nice way to ruin a classic just because you don't like Snowflake hands.

@@jamespalsson746 Yeah, but helium release valve is not Omegas distinct original design marker. It's just a functional option. Snowflake hand is original Tudor's design marker. As much as I hate mercedes hands, Rolex would not be Rolex without them and I would never think it's a good idea to swap them with something generic on a Rolex.

A year later and it seems like they are making the same mistakes with their marketing that they did the first time. Forteller...Kickstarter projects require attention to marketing and timing...and they are failing at launching this because of their lack of understanding this.

The watch looks like a mish mash of every other diver. I don't see anything original on the watch except that whole prehistoric theme which is to strange to rock on a diver. Obviously, we have a history nerd dabbled with creating a watch. And a Seiko NH35 is so obviously boring choice of movement. This watch wouldn't be in my first fifty if I was buying a watch.

Way too many "meh"s on this watch... Where should I start? 1. Shipped from Norway? No, thanks. That's outside European Union. Therefore there will be +21% VAT, and also other custom taxes. Done that once (another KS watch from Norway) and what a hassle. Don't want to do it again. NO, NO, NO. 2. The movement is so damn boring and brings NO value to the watch. Maybe a Miyota 9xxx series would have been a way batter option. Just for the creator to stand up from other thousand microbrands out there. Nh35 doesn't differentiate Cambrian from the rest. 3. Design is also boring. Mostly a copy of Submariner, plus other boring elements such as hour markers or hand set. Maybe some extra funky colors (red, orange, purple) for the dial would have been a saver for this product. 4. Logo is childish and dull. Yes, I understand it resembles the ancient runes. But stil childish. The only good thing is the embossed caseback. But not enough to convince me to press that PLEDGE button.

And you forgot - the thicknesses, my god the thickness, 14.1mm ! - friction clasp Good point is the 2 additional bracelets (leather and silicon) included. BUT the price and that's on pre-order! with import taxes and Vat, as you say, makes this proposal way less attractive, should be shipped out of an EU country.
