One of my favourite tunes to play on the flute, was the first one i could play all the way through with the rest of the band when i joined. My wee granny used to play the accordion on a saturday night when i would stay with her when i was a wee boy. She tried to show me how to play but i loved listening to her singing the songs.

I love to see young people learn to play a musical instrument and I don't care what instrument it is so long as they try to learn to master it to some extent, and if they learn to read music properly even better. There isn't a note in my head, I can't even whistle, and all I can do is listen and be jealous.

I was the same and took up the accordion at 67 ! Spent the last year and a half watching videos on line for accordion and piano, and learning the basics of music. I'm getting better all the time. Never too late to give it a go !
