back in 1980 I installed an Antenna Specialist scanner amp to the alarm in my van, workd great up to 1rd-mile ht/miss shortly after. I then added a scanner antenna and just under a mile but the tx-remote needed more volts/power so I used a used 12volt battery at 10.7volts

Comments are on! Already much better. I'll admit I'm totally new to this kind of thing. My gf bought me (herself) a "Start-X remote starter kit push to start." I installed it but the range is limited to that of my keyfob, less than ideal for warming up a cold car when I can only start it from 30 feet away. I was told by customer service that I the Fortin RFK411 kits were compatible, so I ordered one of those, but that item lacks any instructions about how to install it. My question is would the splitter mentioned @ 5:00 in the video compatible to make the Start-X remote start able to connect to the Fortin RF kit??

Be careful when you go to do a local remote start with the Fortin Flash link Mobile. You won’t be able to add RF from the mobile app.

I saw a video earlier, where you said you had these at your store, Im trying to put together a kit for remote start / alarm/ lock and unlock for a 2001 silverado. what is the the purpose of adding the diode? I have a 2017 Toyota highlander with the MPC RF kit now and I am adding the smartphone application when it arrives 10/31. Appreciate the videos even for a novice installer. Thanks
