You could get great gameplay with a lot of these guns because they were all different and didn't have 5 attachments which turned your gun into a no skill laser beam. Not many people can run around with a m16, but a alot of people can run around with any gun with 5 attachments.

Amazing gun. I mater prestiged. Along my way there I decided early on, maybe I should only use the M16 for this prestige. Next prestige, I should only use the MPK for this prestige. I did it so I wouldn’t have to try to level up and unlock higher tier weapons. Needless to say I got really good at the M16. I think it’s my second most used gun next to the MPK.

Any assault rifle in blops was viable really. I would argue FAMAS still too stand offish OP but m16 still a killing machine in the right hands. Hell you can give me or fortunate an enfield RDS and see what we could do. Amongst the ARs, there was an aspect of balance since they were all killing machines. SMGs and shotguns were different. BLOPS had a lot of underpowered shotty and submachine gun primaries :(
