I wanted the FA 510 but they cost around 3K with my setup and they won't ship to Puerto Rico, so I went with Tein instead and they shipped all the way from the factory in Japan for 1,700$. I got the Tein Monosport, they're on the soft side 4K/6K but they're Inverted Monotube (better Stability for McPherson suspension) and I daily drive my car (MR2 Spyder).

Currently running a 2014 STI with stock suspension and am thinking of making the upgrade. 500 or 510's for a garage queen/weekend track car? I don't mind very stiff/racecar suspension
@MartiniWorksUnboxed9 күн бұрын
The 510 series for sure if you're tracking the car heavily since it's designed for the track! Here's a link to the ones for your STi: martiniworks.com/products/suspension/coilovers/fortune-auto-2008-2014-subaru-wrx-sti-grb-510-series-coilovers

Why didn’t you guys put the Fortune Auto on the Nissan RZ34? Specifically I’m asking why you chose BC coil-overs instead of Fortune Auto?

Ive been trying to research coilovers for my fk8 civic type R, what do you guys recommend, been looking at kw v3 and these fa 510’s
@MartiniWorksUnboxed28 күн бұрын
You can't go wrong with KW V3's, but you're paying a premium for them. FA 510's get you the digressive piston and a killer QA. I'd go with either but if you're trying to save some cash, FA 510's are $150 off for Black Friday right now! Need lowering spring reviews. I want coilovers but right now they are definitely not in my price range but lowering springs do what I want for my price range but don't know who to go with.

We would love to help! Shoot us an email, we can get you set up. Lowering springs can be a great option too.

Ah yes, the rebound bias fortune autos. Id love to ride on my bumpstops. Get yourself a set of MCS, you will know what good suspension is. Hell even ST and KW are better than these.
@VinRZ5 ай бұрын
@Bluuzk respectfully disagreed. The set of FA510 I bought for my BRZ was 2700. RCE sells a set of revalved KW V3 for 2400 w/o top hats tho. So with a set of verus top hats, it will run me to 2700... just about. And it is a 2 way adjustable coilovers, it's leagues above FAs. Then you have the normal KW v3 selling for 2729 for the twins. I'd get RCE over that, since it's valved more aggressively than the normal KWs. Now, let's compare apple to apple. FA510 is a single adjustable. Okay, RCE also sells a set of revalved KW v2 with top hats for 1849.... that's like almost 1000 bucks cheaper... Okay fine maybe your chassis doesn't have a company like RCE for the Subaru world. Well np, ST's single adjustable is basically a budget version of KW's v2. And it runs you up no more than 1400 bucks a set... Need I say more?
@VinRZ5 ай бұрын
@Bluuzk mind you. My FA510 had everything wrong. It didn't have enough suspension travel, and it had high hysteresis. The most offensive shortcoming was their valving. They valved everything the same. My FA510 was extremely rebound bias, and it didn't have enough compression damping. Such that my car was constantly jacking down on track, causing a sudden loss of grip. Yeah, they can say that their coilovers can take 8k +/- spring rate change, but this feature was useless to me if I only had a maximum of 5 clicks of adjustments. (Anything above or below is either overdamped or underdamped. Overdamped -> jacking down; underdamped -> not enough platforming aka too much roll) Well, what do I know? I'm just some bloke who wasted money on a company.
