Why do they build the dampers the way like OEM where the damper will go to full lengt when not under load? The damper should damp and the spring take care of the "stretch" mowement, we are doing that on bikes and cars

So, assembled in the USA rather than made?
@vomdeich10116 жыл бұрын
You have to keep up in price competition! It seems like they found a way to get standardized parts in big enough numbers from 'elsewhere' to stock them for individual configuration. To me its better to have at least some jobs in the country for a product that works than being uncompetitive or leave everything to low cost countries. But you are right its a little bit marketing wank...
@speedacademy6 жыл бұрын
Some of the components are made in the USA, others (like the pistons and other key internal components) are sourced from Sweden, while some of the simple aluminum pieces like the spring perch collars are sourced from Asia in order to keep costs down. We think they've done a really good job of balancing cost vs quality by sourcing parts in this way.

Let's be honest , only a couple of custom coilover (highend) are assembled there, everything else is made and put together in Taiwan/China Where is the R&D? Impact gun on the shims .... never going to have two coilover identical
@1aw3696 жыл бұрын
Yep, made in the same factory as a few other companies. Nothing wrong with it, and Iirc they do test them and assemble them but yeah.
@sanchoMDB6 жыл бұрын
Yeah they’re dyno testing each damper before completing assembly so it’s getting gc checked within tolerance. It seems the only difference between fortune and higher end manufacturers is quality of materials.
@fr3ub6 жыл бұрын
I thing they only assemble the rebuilds or revalving in house For the dyno : test several damper and match them two by two (3% mismatch is acceptable : exemple WP, 4.42, Donerre, Fournales, Reiger ...) Taiwan is okay, good machining, quality control, materials, just dont hide it. They actually make most of the power- air- hand tools for snapon and others
@OggaDugga4 жыл бұрын
All FA coilovers come with a certificate of who built them and who did final inspection. It takes 3-4 weeks for even ship them from VA because they’re all built to order at their facility. Let’s be honest, all entry level coilovers cost between $7-1000 meanwhile these are about $1400 minimum.
@gwot6 жыл бұрын
If I still need an air tank, compressor and all the lines and fittings, and for the same price... I'll get full airbags. Nothing beats airbags for smoothness, adjustable spring rate, even wider range of lowering and lift, and there are bag companies that are track proven. Great for people who still don't trust proven airbags though.
