As a mechanical engineer student aspiring to work in the motor industry, specifically motorbikes, these types of videos are super interesting to see things I’m learning now play out behind the scenes of a bsb team, 44 teeth, the best motorcycle media out there!

Jack Somerville Im a mechanical engineer aswell, but dont plan on working with motorbikes - there is very little motoring industry in Denmark. I just want to put som loggers on my own bike and fuck around with matlab :)

Ha ha. Don’t blow his trumpet by likening him to the Statham! I’m sure the real JS has never “air shagged” while on a top bunk bed with his tongue hanging out! Vlogtastic tho....best channel on YT without question

That was extremely interesting to watch, very frank inside view of what happens behind the scenes. There aren't many motorsports out there that will allow an outside company to see this level of detail. Props to you guys and motorapido for letting us in 😁

It makes sense now why a rider says "without the team this win would not be possible' its so true that a rider is only as good as the team behind him. Amazing work, MotoRapido & 44T keep up the good work

First time commenting, long time watcher. Awesome video to get a peak inside the racing tech that's out there. Had NO clue it was that tunable with those bikes. Motor sorta, but suspension tuning blew my mind. Happy New Year Guys!!!

As a computer and electronics nerd who loves bikes, I find this video very fascinating and insightful. I can't help but think that all the data could be fed into a specialised neural network so a computer could not only provide tools to view the data but learn from it and become massively more helpful in providing advice as well as graphs.

Brilliant insight into how complicated a superbike is in BSB. TC by proxy really, map its o it doesn't spin, rather than letting the the bike control when it senses slip/spin. Very labour intensive, the question is does it actually reduce the cost involved in running that high up the grid? Thanks to you boys and the MotoRapido team, proper job that.

Loved the detail on this. I’ve just recently watched that rise of the machines on quest about the Rsv4 Italian superstocker. It was visually very entertaining but the detail just wasn’t there, sprouting crap like semi automatic gearboxes and how the abs that isn’t even fitted works.

Any chance of putting out a video or an article with Steve describing the sort of stuff a track day rider or amateur racer should be looking at when it comes to data acquisition? Sample math channels, etc? A bunch of bikes are coming with data acquisition capabilities these days and there's some pretty trick stuff available in the aftermarket as well.

Great insight. So my question which kind of got asked is - do the computer diagnostics and traces make bike setup closer (e.g. in terms of effectiveness) between the teams or further apart / if teams had exactly the same hardware as they do now, but had to simply rely on rider-mechanic to twiddle damping, spring rate and ride-height etc. would each team be comparatively the same to each other? Follow-up to this is, would you expect to see all teams lose a similar margin of performance?

David Bowie - Heroes is also in the background if you've got weirdly good hearing, & tinnitus,, Bowie & marieJ adds to these already refreshingly quality productions... ..Oh wait my girlfriend has just got home and we're in an arguement about the bloody dishes that didn't travel with me to the kitchen before work at 7am. I'm just enjoying 5 more mins of my well earned 'Headphone High' & dreams, and future motorcycle ideas somewhere in my future of life long affair with motorcycles... I've been commuting with a compass card for almost the past 2 years! Let me have my daily piece of peace of mind. Frick sake. Taken me 40mins to pause headphone high, type, wash up (I cleaned the kitchen again earlier because all other 12 people are lazy wan*ers...)... Irrelevant. Top notch chaps, carry on the quality work👌

@FortyFourTeeth7 жыл бұрын
Yes. BSB rules
@ChrisJohn_4447 жыл бұрын
Steven Spilly Crazy, huh? It takes a really precise hand to be a pro rider in BSB. Although, GP is all about electronics, so it's strange that BSB wouldn't adopt the same. Come to think of it, it might be because managing electronics requires too much know-how and tinkering, and would divide the field, too much.
@stevenspilly7 жыл бұрын
Cerebral Method yea that's nuts. I'd think twice before even doing a track day on a 1000 without TC and that's with only 200hp!
