This is a guitar piece I wrote for my sister on her birthday a week ago. It definitely needs some work and I didn't want to record it yet, but I want her to be able to hear it since it's already been a week since her bday. :P

Well, my sister has been really struggling with some things for a long time, but the past few months she's really been making progress and having a much more positive outlook on life. So my first thought when I decided to compose something for her was that it needed to not only give a feeling of drive and motion and momentum, but it also needed to express how happy I am that she is doing better. So, how did I come up with it? It started with a smile. :)

Now I'm not sure if I've commented on this one, but it's great, I've learned to play it a long time ago (I play it in standard tuning though, as I use that one the most, and it's a pain to retune every time ; )). Great job, keep it up. This song deserves at least a thousand times as many views as it has received.

Ya know I was just listening to this piece and realized that it sounds just like something that you would hear in Final fantasy X-2 and I say that with utter respect for the song, FFX-2 Had awesome music as usual. It's a very haunting tune. Pretty, memorable, and pleasant to listen to. You have great imagination for writing music. I don't know how much you plug yourself in, but send videos out to studios if you haven't already. I really think someone out there really will hire you. Seriously, if I was a millionaire and had the sway I would put you on a label. Anyway that you could ever do some covers on "Wild Arms"? The music in that game is beautiful, particularly the town themes, but nobody does them.

@lasooch Oh it's fine that you play it in standard. I actually wrote it in standard tuning but as time went on before I had a chance to record my guitar slowly went out of tune. I just did a quick relative tuning before I recorded and, thus, by guitar was 1/2 step flat when I recorded this video. Rather than confuse people who tried to play along I just went ahead and wrote 1/2 step flat on the sheet music. So no worries, if you play it standard you are playing as I originally intended. :)
