Yeah the problem with FM7 making Maple Valley wider is that the runoff is narrower and it's easier to misjudge your corner speeds. It reminds me of Alsace in GT Sport.

I believe, after watching NASCAR Radioactive for quite some time, that letting off of both pedals through a corner allows the car to do what they call "rotating through the center of the corner" which is a technique they use most often to gain the advantage through the corners

That's something to do with off/on throttle oversteer/understeer. It can be tuned out with proper adjustment of the differential.

The reason the car has more traction when you get off the throttle is because the game is trying to simulate weight transfer to the front tires. When weight transfers to the front, you have more traction on turning. This is a racing technique used in real life as well.

This is pretty late, but I think the reason for that weird handling of Forza is because they seem to have the philosophy that no friction used for turning can be used for anything else, like braking and accelerating, and vice versa. It used to be on several of their loading screen tips on Forza 2... and I haven't forgotten it, because I saw it so often. "No energy used for turning can be used for braking," " no energy used for braking can be used for turning," no energy used for accelerating can be used for turning," etc. It drove me crazy back then, but it seems they've taken that philosophy to the extreme, and shunned things like trail-braking. It does make it easier to know when you can get on the power though.

This one of the things I hate about Forza. If you're fast, you almost always run into situations where you must lap traffic. The lapped traffic in this game, given how people drive in it, should be ghosted for your car.

Andrew Haines it's easier with a controller so yes he's playing with a controller, but if you want a more realistic experience with sim steering then you should get a wheel, but you can get the hang of it with a controller too with enough practice

i really wish the will improve physic in FH4 and FM8 .. mostly the tyre model .. feel like driving on rocks with there snaps of oversteer .. some cars like muscle feel right but most of the cars are just weird mostly on the wheel and you started playing some sim like Pcars or AC like me .. even on FH3 gt3 cars are just undrivable for cars with slicks

5:30 I'm sorry but this is not a good move that corner is a near full speed corner where you need to hit the apex to stay on the track or you'll be flung wide, had you not slowed down he would have pushed you off the track this is basic physics 101 dude, that was rightfully your line and he took the corner is a way that would have shoved you off the track, the only way to avoid that was for him to practically STOP negating the pass in the first place, a bad pass is a bad fucking pass 9:12 and this is a dive bomb dude, he's already turning but had to stop because you inserted yourself into a position that you had no business being in, you can see him turn the other way to not smash into you, stop dive bombing, if someone is turning and prepared to accelerate and you enter that space and you are braking, you just dive bombed

Tell you what, I'll share this video with my clan (FACR) and see what they think, from what I can see he would have shoved you off your line had you not braked because of how that corner functions. That was your line, not his, at that speed the pass was impossible. You cannot defy the laws of physics. The second one was also a dive bomb. You can clearly see that he is turning and getting ready to accelerate but could not because you inserted yourself into his space when he was the lead car. I recommend that you refresh yourself and read up on racing etiquette.

Basically we put it like this, second move was risky and overall not worth it but would pass as clean by our standards. The first move was deemed okay since no contact was made, but, the only reason why no contact was made was because you braked to ensure that no contact was made when imo, you should have given a bit more room and he should have slowed down more. Had contact been made it would have been deemed as dirty and the fault will almost always go to the car that is not leading unless the lead car was being a douche. I believe that he also gave you your spot back because he knew that he only gained the position because you mashed down the brakes to avoid a collision. If he himself thought that the move was okay he would have taken the inside line and kept his position.

The Lich King start with career/free play and slowly start turning off assists and turning up ai difficulty until you are up to speed. Turn off all deadzones in your controller options, steering should be around 0 inside deadzones, 100 outside. Use the haptic rumbles in the triggers to let you know when your tyres are losing traction, if you feel trigger vibration, then you are losing grip. If you are going to practice, make sure to practice proper techniques, else you're not going to get faster. Good luck and have fun!
