My Aunt had one of these, was her first car. in Min. 5:01 where Roman places his hand there is a cap. That is where you put in the gas, just on top of the exhaust pipes. Love the video, it did brought some good memories back.

The owner is just as awesome as the car is!! Wish I could get this guy for an episode for HardBody Cars

The owner is a nice guy but I don't understand how anyone can think this car is good looking. I like the checkerboard roof but that was about it.

These cars are very popular here in Finland, many of them ends up in the low cost motorsport called folkrace

Hi I write from Italy. This is not the 850 coupè but is an Abarth version of the sedan. The coupè version was a different car and spider version was a different car too. The special (sedan) was very popular here in 60 end early 70. :-)
@alfadoc11 жыл бұрын
It is not an Abarth. The car started life as a standard Fiat 850 Sedan, and was modified. I'm the guy who hand carried the Abarth grill from a swap meet in Reggio Emilia to the owner :-)

Once drove on of these with "Idroconvert" transmission. A stick shift with no clutch. Weird but fun.

I sold Fiats new in this time period. A new 1971 Fiat 850 Sedan had a MSRP of $1,850.00 USA and a radio was the only option.

They're awfully cute but here in the North East the life expectancy was about two years. After that if it was still running it didn't matter because the body had long since reverted to iron oxide. You can run the wheels off them and still not go fast enough to earn a speeding ticket while having the time of your life. At least that is how I remember them back in the day.
