Doing such timings with a 2 gear concept is pretty easy with electric engines because their RPM is constant. But doing that with internal combustion engines is a hell. To be honest, Koenigsegg actually done something impossible, possible by the Regera.

@@eins2001 I've heard of CVT(Continuously Variable Transmission) bro. But I wasn't talking about transmission here, I meant the RPM range and the revving time. Electric engines can easily rev up higher and will have a constant torque i.e, from low to high RPM range, the torque is at max and constant. But internal combustion engines is not like that. I think you know about it coz if you know things like CVT, then definitely engine wouldn't be an exception. I think you got my point wrong bro:) Stay home stay safe 🙂

You can only lower it's Final Drive ratio when your upgrading to the Sport Transmission which only unlocks the Final Drive. Just lower it down and your good to go.

Don't use engine braking for emergency braking. You don't use it the same way for every car and engine braking disturbs (even more when you downshift to early) the pedal braking which then sacrifices the braking distance. And no car can beat the C2 just because its design is adapted to the electric power and high torque over the entire rpm range. But keep going I really like your vids!

Yea, the thing is, that you won't accelerate with R to 1 to 2, so it's considered 2 gear gearbox. Same with any other car.

With that kind of acceleration the 0.5 seconds it takes to switch gears is actually more detrimental than the benefit you would get from the better gearing. It takes too long to switch gears.

See the only problem with this test is that most combustion engines combined with their transmissions are terrible in low RPMs. Combine that with the fact that it looks like you haven't tuned the gears consistently among the cars. If this is just for fun I understand. But if you're actually going to have a legit test I suggest tuning the gears consistently among the cars. :)

A tuned Shelby Monoco can beat a Ferrari 599 XX Evo up to 270mph or 434kph. I do it regularly. The ferrari has a much faster top speed, but I beat them to the Monoco's top speed all the time. I actually have it set to a 1st gear top speed of 175mph/280kph. then short gears all the way up to 5th where it tops out. It might just beat the ferrari in a 2 gear challenge. I know it's not a "Hyper Car", but it should be on the list.

@@motia4888That is part of it, generally braking comes from the peak grip of the tire, which is a combination of factors. These include the normal force, aka the tire compound, the cars weight and the aerodynamic grip combined. Bigger brakes don't shorter your braking distance, they can take more heat before failing. So you can brake harder and more often before they fail or need to cool off. With bigger more powerful brakes on the same tire, you'll lock instead of braking faster.

Tire width and compound also matters, because, ya know, logic about mechanical grip. Aerodynamics do matter if the rear wing can move as an example and under braking create more drag to slow it down

@@motia4888 Your remarks in regards to the Chiron are valid, 190mm wouldn't be able to handle the load. Interestingly, deployable rear wings for braking aren't that great. I know of two reasons, first is that drag (force of the air that wants to slow you down) is quadrupled if speed doubles. Supercar rear wings take 1/4 to 1/2 of a second to deploy, during this the cars have already lost 10 to 20mph while they're activating. So they're slow to respond when they're most effective, at high speed, initial braking while the car is fast, where aerodynamics are most effective. They also force the rear down, lifting the front giving you weaker front braking, rearward balanced grip and understeer. Some cars use tech and witchcraft to manage these effects but supercar active aerodynamics suck. They're for looks mostly. Hypercars like the Aston Martin Vulcan are proper aerodynamic beast.
