I am trading in GT7 in the morning. It's a great game. My issue is I prefer arcade racing, and to get to a point where you are really competing online it takes having to dedicate most of a players time to that type of game. Time I would rather spend in other games. For anyone serious about Simualtion racing GT7 is the best. Forza Horizon is good, and it's a little more simcade.

Yea I mean it hovers around the top 10 most played games on Xbox EVERY WEEK. And that's with stuff like Minecraft, GTA, Fortnite, COD and Seige having dominated that for the best part of the last decade solid now. Those games see hundreds of thousands/millions weekly so if Horizon is just outside those juggernauts, it's huge beyond words. GT7 for comparison I think is like 30th ranked on Playstation every week with the same games dominating it's top 10 too soooo Horizon 5 is popular AF as the kids would say. Xbox's most popular titles Minecraft, COD and Horizon 5 are now on PS5 and honestly I don't know why anyone would bother with XBox now... shocking

It'll never go away as long as Sony keeps their exclusives to their consoles. Xbox be porting all their IPs, but Sony isn't sharing any and it's still keeping third parties to their own. This is Xbox's 5th exclusive to come to PS, yet Xbox hasn't even gotten FFVII Remake.

From what I remember, Panic Button are pretty good when it comes to ports, especially for their Switch porting work, like Doom 2016 or Warframe. In any case, I never thought I'd see the day. Horizon 3 and 4 were what made me build a PC back in the day. Though Horizon 5 is long in the tooth, there's a reason these games sell.

I never thought that I'd ever see the day when Forza Horizon would release on the PS5 until now. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle is coming to the PS5. Playstation titles have been coming to PC, and they may even be available for the Xbox Series X. Outside of a few releases here and there, and the Nintendo Switch, console exclusives are a thing of the past nowadays. Having console specific releases meant that you had to buy every system in order to experience said exclusives. With titles being cross-platform, you no longer have to purchase every single console (to an extent, of course). I definitely look forward to playing Forza Horizon 5 on the PS5. Thanks, Karak! @dibidibadibidibou Haven't played The Crew, but from the looks of it they have a similar idea. But the feeling of your car and handling were always better than anything else, the right amount of arcade and a slight touch of "realism".

Horizon reuses a lot of simulation stuff from Motorsport side of the series while providing more of a car culture appeal: there are races of all kinds, fun gamemodes, challenges and stunts, car liveries and custom tracks and builds to share, car meets, car collections, etc. It would be dishonest to call it perfect, but you can do a lot of stuff with little to no boundaries. There is little to no progression, money isn't usually an issue, you get cars for free consistently. The game is carried by the community (at least right now), so if you just wanna chill with people and do some fun car stuff, it's a game for you

I'm getting 90's apple vibes here. Marketshare is down YOY, management has no idea what they're doing, Inferior hardware compared to a competitor, the head of the company isn't even interested in the product he's a part of, etc. The only difference here is that Xbox never got it's messiah figure that completely rejuvenated the company, putting it back on top. Now the product will surely die, and it's a really sad thing. If Sony didn't have any plans of selling the PS6 at an MSRP of $700, they probably do now. Sucks to see that the console I grew up with in middle and high school is gonna kick the bucket, and that Playstation is not going to have any competition in the home non-handheld sphere, but such is life I guess. "But that's all ancient history, it doesn't really matter anymore."
