I'm not into racing games at all but forza horizon is the exception. It just hits so different. Maybe it's the open world aspect? Maybe it's just my addiction to wheel spins lol. Either way I lose dozens of hours into their titles when I don't play any other racing games at all.

I’ve played many … many racing games. Horizon is definitely the most fun 👍🏽 very relaxing and therapeutic as well. Given the rewind and adjustable difficulty it’s basically the perfect racing game

I think the thing that gets me the most is how polished the game is at launch. I purchased the premium edition so I've been playing since Nov 5th and I can count the number of glitches I've encountered on one hand. I think we are seeing a developer at the top of their game.

Now the game has landed, I suggest watching a stream or some videos as it is one of the most addidictive games ever...its what has made transition from a racing game to something e everyone adores. If you haven't played it before and have any interest in racing, then I'm sure you'll love it. Pick up gamepass and try for free if you're worried. Finally, it is currently the highest rated game of this year on metacritic...you don't get that easily!

Why not? Turn 10 makes the cars for motorsport and lends them to playground games to place them in the open world that they made. Sony could easily get one of their studios to collaborate with polyphony digital...guerilla games for instance. They probably don't want to but to say that they just couldn't do it is a stretch.

I’ve got to say, as a primarily PlayStation player (I like the interface and exclusive titles personally). Xbox game pass absolutely kills it with new releases. I don’t have a series x right now, but I swap between my ps5 and pc so I can enjoy all of the titles I’m interested in, and forza is no exception!

I've been expecting convoy issues, like not being able to see my friend when we drive around his icon would disappear but still be in the convoy. Whenever I go to the main map to look at his icon his "icontag"/ current car would be D ranked and level 1 when he is level 30. Another bug I've been having is that whenever I'm scrolling thru some of the various menus the sound effects would cut out and go silent this includes upgrading my car especially when I'm trying to rev the car engine when trying out different upgrades. I've also been having driving issues as well. I'll be going high speed then BOOM out of nowhere my car instantly slows down and stops. I hope they fix these issues and the load times but other than that I'm loving the game!

I'm just afraid that the problems that plagued both FH3 and FH4 will persist into this game, so I think it is best to wait to buy until more reviews come out. Plus the environments we see here have been seen to one degree or another in the past, not as good looking sure, but very similar. I can forgive that though as long as the problems from the past two games has been fixed.

AI in multiplayer racing being a good example. Where the AI having what seems to be a force push/pull ability, for lack of better terms that push or pull player cars if they get too close. I know this was not a feature, but maybe more along the lines peer to peer connections and related to the toredo adapter. Happened to many players, being pushed off the track/road or pulled mid jump to being upside down, and also having AI either cut the track or just randomly appear in first place. There were also major problems I personally experienced with the toredo adapter not wanting connect even though the internet was just fine and had to do many different work arounds to get it up and running.

i would give it "just/only" 8/10 because of the silly BS-Blabbering all the time and the unneccesary ways through the open world. that look silly when i want to make em as short as possible and driving like a maniac throug offroad all the time driving is ultra-fun and graphics are a blast of course but without open world (or with a fast travel option right from the beginning) i would enjoy it even more. still a great game in my opinion

I know this game isn't going for any sort of realism or simulation but I cannot figure out why people would buy this game. I own forza horizon 4 and this looks exactly the same except a few newer cars, a few more fake ones and it's in mexico. Never been into driving games but I may download Forza 5 through PC gamepass and try it out. Sure it's beautiful but you drive a vehicle on a road or offroad path. Repetitive. I just don't see how that's fun. Congratulations to the developers though.

It’s more fun if you have a wheel and/or if you like the competitive side of racing like setting lap times, building fast cars, racing friends, etc. Everyone has their own reasons. I’m sure some people say “all you do in cod is run and shoot guns on the same maps. That’s lame.” But a lot of people enjoy that too

Of course Forza 5 is availed on PC too. I have to agree Forza 3 bored the crap out of me, although a technical masterpiece the lack of damage and consequences for bad driving was mind numbing, every action I did the game was rewarding me for being so fantastic, kinda insulting.

What's the point of a racing game when multiplayer sucks? Can't choose car classes , no leaderboards, long waiting times, no voting for car class or track, can't even change assists when lobby changes from A class to S2 class. Going back to Wreckfest.

All these KZbinrs only praise the game but yet it's one of the most skuffed Forza yet almost all my friends experience glitches on the regular.5/10 in my opinion it lost those 5 point due to multiplayer pain, glitches,auto show imbalanced due to Goliath and the terrible AI.I can't disagree with what was said but this was not a review as it only mentioned the positives.

Its not exclusive, also available on PC a platform bigger than Xbox and PS combined. Of course PC gamers have a astonishing variety of games to choose from dwarfing what is available on consoles, but I still think this will do OK.

I loved 4 but can't get on with 5. Too much of the same, crashes, cringe dialogue, rubberbanding, terrible AI and even had cars change how they feel half way through a race where they become un driveable. I tried. Leveled up to level 30 something. But nah not for me. :(

20% of Playground's budget goes towards online agitation. 90% of the cars are rehashed, the modes are rehashed. The physics have actually suffered and cars all feel the same now. The shitty british voices are rehashed (except for the borderline-racist Mexican caricatures who all sound like The Bee Guy from the Simpsons). The paint colors and uprades are rehashed. The races are rehashed. The bugs are rehashed, same bugs in FH4 are in Fh5. The world textures are 240p even in 4K. Play the game for 2 hours and you will see how much "new" stuff there is. Also, the map zoom is dogshit, can barely see 1/4 of it at full zoom-out. The one thing they did improve on drastically from FH4 is wheel compatibility. It's now possible to use a wheel with FH, though given all the other shortcomings, it won't be enough to keep you sucked in. Save your shekels, boys.
