2:50 This is my exact problem with the new FH games. I just logged on for the first time in like 2 months the other day and had 38 FREE WHEELSPINS. I got something like $6,000,000 or something ridiculous. Yaaay, thanks for the free money. What's even the point of doing races or any activities at all if the reward is exactly the same as NOT PLAYING THE GAME AT ALL. The only positive I can give this game is it's the best game ever for Photo Mode. Also I dunno, I skipped FH2 but played it recently and while it was definitely more fun and rewarding than 3-5, it's still too "safe" imo. FH1 had this awesome aesthetic that matched the rocky, red-dust filled map and color scheme of the first game. Every game since, the UI has felt so soulless. You can really tell it's a Microsoft product now. You load the game up from your Xbox dashboard, which is just a bunch of squares and pictures, then you have to navigate the garage, which is also just a bunch of squares and pictures. The in-game UI is identical to the last two games minus a new group of fonts. God, when did racing games become horrible at UI design? They've been on a steady decline in creativity since Gran Turismo 4 almost 20 years ago, and I remember even as an 8 year old back then thinking "man, why does navigating the menus feel like I'm in the waiting room of a doctor's office?" And it isn't even just Forza Horizon, either. Assetto Corsa's UI and menu system looks like it was taken from an obscure PC-only racing game from 2002. Gran Turismo 7's feels like I'm watching a BBC documentary on Gran Turismo. CarX Drift Racing's UI feels like a cheaply made Unity game (granted it is, but god Unity's UI is awful, even in stuff like Clone Hero.) I can't say the same for Need for Speed, their UI and menus are actually pretty sick looking, especially Heat. Racing games have quite simply lost their balls and now EVERY game is trying to be this whole "appeal to the widest demographic possible" family friendly car collecting simulator with no cops, no sense of danger, and the SAME stupid ass "GPS assistant." It's in FH, it's in Motorfest, AND it's in TDU SC, and don't even get me STARTED on that game lmao. Seems like every open world game nowadays is this vaguely sterile yet photogenic world with some sort of dumbass MMO style main hub, and a billion different races and events with next to no incentive to do them, since you can quite literally play OTHER games and still get rewarded. Thankfully Motorfest does a MUCH better job at giving players incentives to actually DO the events, but unfortunately even that franchise sold out. For all it's flaws, The Crew 2 is a rough diamond if you ask me. But they traded in their main selling point (the huge-ass map) to be the most blatant copy of another developer's game I have EVER seen. It isn't just Forza dying, I think racing games are, too. Thank god for stuff like Night-Runners.

I'll say it until the day I die but BRING BACK MIDNIGHT CLUB! The competition would help NFS out SO much. Games are always at their PEAKS when they're in competition with eachother, think of the run NFS had during the Midnight Club era, (Underground 1 to ProStreet) even if it was a different developer, both franchises were putting out STELLAR racing games, some of which I'd still consider the best ever.

In my opinion, the stagnation of FH5 and the immense sale for the former game made people really realise how good FH4 is, hence why FH4 now has a higher average player count than FH5. Them giving the game an actual end of life plan in the era of "The Crew" probably has something to do with it as well. I'm actually in a group with my friends who i gifted the game during the sale, and we're in the process of going through the final playlist as it comes out in an effort to get the "Encore?" achievement, which requires you to 100% a playlist.

You’re 100% right, and they won’t stop because it has the highest player count of any racing game. Nothing relates to each other in FH5. Unlike FH1 which had a really good single player, and then custom lobbies and multiplayer lobbies that had every game mode you can select from one menu. FH5 just has a bunch of random shit put on the map. It’s actually horrific.

You can buy upgrades in Forza Motorsport now with credits from a update they did a few months back because of the backlash and isn't locked behind the level grind anymore which is how it should've been at launch. But disappointingly we don't have a drift or drag playlist in multiplayer yet when Forza Motorsport 7 had it at launch.

I was really excited for FH5, mainly because it was my first Forza game. Stopped playing after 1,5 months and never touched it since then. Its just incredibly boring. The racing is meh, the progression is dog poo, the new map is empty, offroad vs onroad doesnt matter, just drive everywhere, the seasons are so dumbed down that you barely notice any change etc. Its just a car collection simulator, nothing else.

Thats why i switched too beamng: Developers actually listen Unlimited customization A lot of maps(including mods) Mods are actually supported Affordable with no packs or stuff And for last the best crashing physics i ever saw other than real life

i find it funny that i bought forza motorsport and a few updates later they updated the game so that my graphics card is "no longer supported" and i cant play the game at all. It should also be mentioned that if you install some other drivers i found on reddit you can bypass this and the game could run just fine on low settings. Thanks microsoft

I really like the video I agree that Forza has fallen off along with almost all racing games. However one game that has stayed true to its formula that is very good that I think you should try out would be BeamNG the devs are amazing quality is very high would totally recommend!

PG Games REALLY needs to step up their game if they want to make FH6 an actual good game. FH4 was great, a lot of things were “perfected” and a few things were broken here n there. Then FH5 came along. wtf happened with their map making skills 💀💀 Especially since after FH4, people have been wanting a return of a good, modern city, which was last seen in FH3. But we got some old cities that are “rich in history” like bro come on we aren’t here for historic places in a racing game 🗿 Need For Speed, beautiful. Story is all I want. The Crew 2/3 are okay, but 3 just announced an ENTIRE ISLAND EXPANSION FOR 🆓 🗿🗿🗿 Now I haven’t really played any indie racing games much, I’ve really only stretched out to CarX Drift and BeamNG, which are both awesome frfr Finally, back to FH6, SUPPOSEDLY it might be set in Germany. Reason for this is because a German FH account was created not too long ago and a similar event happened before FH5 was announced; a new Spanish account was created. So who knows, hopefully they can actually NAIL IT THIS TIME 🔫 damn I wrote a lot

I used to enjoy forza when the first and second one came out, but from then on they’ve only just slightly improved on it and kept it the same since. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s a shame tho.
