Hello and welcome, its been requested a few times that i make a video showing how i go about tuning my cars up for the gt spec hopefully this helps some of you. As always i hope you all enjoy.

UPDATE - This video is a bit outdated. With the GT class now being split into GT3/GT2/GT4 things with the tunes have also changed. For those that don't know GT2 cars all have a reduction in tire width therefor handle a bit worse. To comp this drop the tire psi by 1 click on both front and rear, soften ARBS a bit and add a bit of rear roll center. The tune spreadsheet that is linked will still net you a decent base tune but some work will need to be done to fine tune it now. If you guys would like I can make an updated video.

Sooooo glad this popped up in my feed!! Explains why I am half the power of everyone. I have always ran 4.10 to 4.88 for shorter technical tracks and 3.10 to 3.50 for speed track with long straights.

OK... This is crazy! Just seeing how I struggle on corner exit with a M6 at Nurburgring, and how you are just effortlessly powering out of the corners, just showed me how much some competency with tuning will help my races. I'm sold! Thanks.

Agree, gear ratios are indeed perfect. In the Ferrari it makes an enormous difference. The video does help, thanks!

When you're adjusting the steering lock in the wheel sett8ngs, are you doing that to match the lock you have in the wheel driver?

Hey Grimm what do u recommend for Aero in most of the GT cars... just learing how it works in depth. Saw u have it all the way to cornering in front here then opposite in rear. Does this apply for most of the GT cars or does it vary more?

Yes, usually the standard is full front no rear. This gives you the front grip or pointy front end. Meaning you get into the corner faster. I would say for 98% of the GT cars you want full front no rear. The TA cars handle really good this way, but if you drop the front aero a bit then you can gain alot in the straights without losing toooo much on the corners. For example, my TA caddy runs full front no rear on most tracks. But RA, Hakone, etc I use 625 - 650 front aero and top out 175-180

@@LEGEND-xi1jr yeah just play around with it, the porsches have alot of lift off oversteer. So a bit of rear aero might actually stabilize it a bit if you lower front aero in tandem to find the sweet spot.

dammit forgot to ask my question in the other comment lol, on the gearing why do you push the final gear all the way to the right/acceleration?

Moving the trans more towards accel actually does help the car accelerate faster. Even though the gears are roughly the same having the final drive at 6.10 helps. Not a major amount but enough to make a difference.

Okay but when I use that tune it oversteers like crazy, literally the rear is on skates

Then change the brake bias more towards the front. Like I said in the video that guy that made the spreadsheet like his brakes towards the rear to help with trail braking. If you don't like it run 49% 50% 51%

@GrimmLegionGaming my brake bias is set to 51% I dropped the rear roll down to about halfway and the differential to 55% and that has seemed to help, would definitely like more tips about over/understeer without having to add max aero in the rear

@GrimmLegionGaming ill give that a go, just ran a 2:00.8 on nurb circuit with a modified spreadsheet tune, on mediums with 27% fuel in rivals, so the tunes work but you're right they are definitely meant for controller folk lol
