Most would think the snout is the most crucial part of the blower to be ported/modified but that’s not the case. After modifying over 100+ blowers in house, The Bearing plate is the most important part of the IHI blowers and causes the most restriction. We have had customers gain 2+psi switching to our billet bearing plate in house vs oem bearing plate.(using a stock unported snout) A ported oem bearing plate does not flow as efficiently as our billet bearing plate and we have seen some oem bearing plates CNC ported by these company’s break and eat a whole blower. This has happened many times. Great video! Wanted to add our 2 cents!

This seems good BUT I am not willing to lose 50HP/50ft lbs torque at 2500 RPM where a street daily spends most of it's time. "National Speed" suggests this is the case with ported bearing plates so if I can see gains across the board then I would like a fully ported supercharger of course. I don't know what to beleive sometimes. I see your stuff on ebay and it certainly looks great. It wasn't that easy to find much more info about your products though. Looking forward to learning more.

There are kits online to do the conversion but I’d be careful with adding boosts to the 6.4 without changing the internals, I think it’s fine if u run really low boost like max 6 lbs but after that ur taking a big risk of blowing the motor

Hi Todd here from Northeast USA. You remind me of a good friend of mine has a shop on Long Island. Thanks so much for this great video and tutorial. This is my kind of content! I love seeing what my supercharger looks like on the inside. The Ford Lightning guys periodically clean their intercooler. I guess oil separators help. Do the intercoolers on the Mopar HO engines become dirty and possibly less effective from oil vapor in the intake? Also is your shop open to the public?

@forza I was wondering if you can do a supercharger lubrication video for the IHI 2.4, and 2.7 blower. I know there is a lubrication kit out there, but i have never seen anyone do it. I noticed the two plugs in the rear of the supercharger, but can not find any information on the blowers at all. Common sense tells me it is drain, and fill as with most things. (Diff, trans, ect.) As usual your video was very informative, and i appreciate your knowledge. Your team brings value to our world.
