The highlights package on Sky Sports is excruciating. I gave up after 40 minutes of talking and interviews. I don’t know why I expected it to be better this year. The live stream was an absolute godsend.

actually its a LMP2 engine and not an F1 engine. Judd build F1 engine too but the 3.4 V8 was never fitted to an F1 car.

It would be a good battle. The 1999 Mclaren has more low speed downforce and a nigh on identical power to weight ratio to the 919. The 919 would be able to win on traction, but the Mclaren would be far more nimble.

Sadly Plasa died in one of these crazy cars, another BMW with a Judd F1 engine. The impact was so hard the seatbelts ripped off - front suspension failure at 240 km/h on a twisty mountain road, he hit the face of the mountain at full speed.

He understandably played it safe; the car was on absolute skates. There's no putting that thing back together if something went wrong. Needs slicks and some setup to really work the limit

Not sure what went on with the timing system failure? I clocked it at 45s dead with a stopwatch and that would have put him into 3rd place!!... such a shame for these guys..... can someone double check for me off the KZbin clip & see if I'm going mad.... perhaps it's my reflexes?

He did not play it safe he tried even harder. When you time the last sector it was given as 46.7s it is actually 45s when you check the video as apparently there were timing issues on the last sector which made him a solid 3rd, he was robbed !!!!!!!

Had a great weekend at Goodwood but it was a shame that Jeremy Smith in the Penske PC22 was not awarded third place because of a timing clitch. He put the car on the limit all weekend, anyone can check the timing with a stopwatch on the video it was quite clearly a low 45 run. Can anyone explain how the timing stopped half way up the hill and who came up with the incorrect time! Any ideas Goodwood?

I’m tired of them embarrassing legendary race cars every year that would put miles on any of these NASCARS they end up losing to any real track with any real effort. So silly for Group C cars and winning Formula 1 cars to be slower than stock cars and touring cars from the 60s.

So what happened to them spacing the cars out? Kinda sucks catching every damn car when its already half through the run. We wanna see thr full course with launches!
