I’m a rock hound so I totally adored this video! I think I’d be like a kid in a lolly shop if I was walking that field Krissy, though I couldn’t pass up so many rocks as you did! I went for a Sunday stroll along my local river and came away with a pocket full of river tumbled agates. When my car rattles I know it’s another rock that’s fallen out of my pocket! 😆

Krissy next time you are near a $2shop or a Red Dot store they sell "tile grout joint" cleaning brushes. They are shaped like a 10 × sized toothbrush with much firmer bristles. They are excellent for cleaning dirt of specimens & semi precious gemstones. They are only a few $ each. Nice to see you relaxed & smiling & even your hair is looking softer than in the old camp set up. That new camper has done you wonders & given you a rediscovered energy & enthusiasm. Having a secure income helps as well. But don't forget that all the heavy rains & flooding opens up new ground & I bet that monster find is just around the corner.

WOW you have an awesome collection there!!! carnelian 😍🤩😍 one of my favourite gems to collect here on the mary basin🥰🥰🥰 i know water is very valuable were you are, but a spray bottle of water helps high grade your hunting. ive been finding that jasper is a great indicator for agates, cherts, petrified wood and sometimes common/moss opal. Ive just joined the local gem and mineral club, that might be a fun way to get into rockhounding =)

Hey Krissy, I got told from one of the elders up there , that you should leave the rocks where they are, as they will bring you bad luck if you take them, apparently the elder spirits will follow you around until you put the rocks back, I picked up some rocks and then didn’t find any gold for 3 days, I chucked the rocks out, and then started finding it again. 😊

A typical Virgo trait, seeing the natural beauty in rocks. Know I too, would be in my element on those flats gathering a tonne of beautiful specimens, then discarding most. One of the joys of many years working in assay laboratories, was seeing every sampe coming in the door. Exploration geo's often bought in stunningly beautiful rocks resulting in powder. Wow, Krissy! So cool ... You do well to take a break from the gold fields. That agate with two colors split down the middle ... If it were heart shaped with the seam going north and south ... Someone would fall in love with it, I'm sure! Here at home, we have old growth oak forests where I hunt wild, edible mushrooms almost year-round. (There's dozens of species, and even more sub-specie) When the season is in, I hunt wild Ginseng, Yellowroot, and Star Grub Root ... Native artifacts, Geodes, and meteorites... There's a strip of land where the geodes, and meteorites are plentiful, and as luck would have it, that strip runs right through the family farm. Great fun right outside the door! Thanks again for sharing your adventures! Much love from across the pond!

Amazing the different stones you can just pick up . Most of my finds are fossils I have a lot of anemone's an ammonite and some fossil crocodile skin in my collection I also have something I found embedded in a chalk cliff it is heavy like lead but really hard like iron but non magnetic it is round and the surface is patterned like coral. I have sent pictures to the natural history museum in London but so far had no response I was hoping it was a meteorite but being non magnetic casts doubt on that theory. It is great that you have time to just look for interesting stuff. Down in Cornwall where I was brought up there are places where you can find amethyst geodes but I was to young to have an interest in geology. I look forward to your next gold hunt who knows you may even unearth some Opal one day .

Krissy, those agates, left rough cut on all but one side, would make an Amazing Scape in an Aquarium with Australian Rainbow Fish. Im not sure how much you know about these beautiful little freshwater fish. There are many species of them swimming in your remote streams. Many of them are extinct in the wild because the small streams dried up or flooded out. A group called Project Piaba is one of several that work with Aquarists to prevent over harvesting and to repopulate when It can if water conditions improve. You sure live in an amazing Country! I was wondering, have you ever found a patch of sand that has been struck by Lightning? I think that would be cool! A great video indeed! Stay safe, be well, lots of love from Canada!!

Hi Krissy. I learned a expensive lesson when I camped out north of Laverton at Duketon.. Never camp near to water holes that there are signs that cattle 🐄 drink at or water troughs as when you go out detecting those nosey cows that are hungry will destroy anything that can be chewed on..!! Then try a get them to go..!! Well that’s on one of my old uploads in Western Australia.. Well I have uploaded another video clip and still resting my back and I am booked on 25 of next month to remove a broken cartilage in my spine and after recovering I hope I can get back to gold prospecting.. You should see if you couldn't find a lapidary shop to sell some rocks to for polishing, it could be a little side business or sell some rough specimens on E-bay for people who want to polish up some rocks, that jasper and the agates would sell well, you just need to find a price to sell per pound that would make you a profit,.or just sell by the pound and the customer pays shipping and handling. Would love to see some of those tumbled I bet they would come out beautiful. My favorite you found was the OWL rock.

Use a dremal or drill with different thickness of wet sand paper and polish them up ..there might even be some thunder eggs in the area ..some of the rocks you picked up looked like they may have been part of thunder egg's. Good to just walk around doing something different good on you see you next week

I see you have rocks in your van or if you are like me, in my head, I have a thirty kilo rock that I look at every day and think should I get rid of that, I should probably put it on ebay or donate it to a museum, great to see you are branching out but gold is gold is gold is gold, the cattle looked very tasty, I still keep getting junk, oh well that's detecting, keep up the entertainment and have a good week.

Is it even possible to find opals on the ground? Agate looks great when it's like crystal. Great video. Good luck and good hunting. Be sweet. Thank you.
