How much better battery life are we talking? My Gen 5 would maybe last 12 hours before dying with minimal use. I could get a full 24 hours but I had to basically turn off everything except Bluetooth and barely turn the watch on ever. Would like to be able to actually use the thing. Would want at minimum 50% better to consider it.

With everything enabled, and the Always on Display, you get about 24 hours. And the fast charging is great. Edit: WLAN is off, I don't see a sense to have it all the time enabled.

Both are almost same not a big difference to switch on Gen 6 and i think gen 5 looks more pretty...💪🏻

Gen 6 still has the pointless black ring around screen. Maybe Gen 7 won't have that. But not worth the upgrade for that alone. I still get very upset when I look at my Gen 5's Carlyle and see that black ring taking up screen space, when I could of gotten another watch instead that uses the whole screen.

It has no swimming Mode and I wouldn't suggest to use it for swimming. Cycling and running works good.

If you are serious about buying a smartwatch please avoid these Fossil Gen5/6 watches. I have a Gen 5 HR and it's absolute garbage. I've had loads of smart watches and this is by far the worst. The battery life is amongst the worst I've ever tried, you'll get a day and half (of minimal use) best case scenario. The rotating crown button in the middle gets stuck over time and has to be physically pulled out otherwise the watch assumes you've held it in and restarts the watch. It's incredibly frustrating. Another design flaw is the location of that crown, if you wear it on your left wrist you'll find that you accidentally press is on a very regular basis. As soon as you bend your wrist and the button touches the back of your hand it sets it off. It's garbage, don't make the same mistake as I did.

@@trik3002 depends on your budget and what you want it for. But if you want something similar in design and features to the Fossil Gen 5/6 then you'd be better off looking at either of the below: Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Mobvoi Ticwatch 3 Pro

you can click the little cog wheel settings Icon and change the playback speed to slower
