Foster FAILURE?

I started to take Luna back to the shelter, but ended up bringing her back home for a few more days. Am I a foster failure?

Luna was just trying so hard to get them to like her, what a beautiful good girl. The boys will have her trained up as a fully mission qualified pack member in no time. Watching Kaiser and Sniper go from "oh my god human what have you done this was a bachelor pad can you HEAR this girl whine?" to "fine she can stay but don't let her get too close" to "don't worry human we'll teach her how to dog properly" is hilarious. You did good Mover, congrats! Give Luna a treat from us here on the internet. Give Kaiser and Sniper two for putting up with the new girl.

Congrats on the latest Mover family member! Take it from the parent of another sookie boy named Kaiser (ours was a Weimeraner) who was seemingly intolerant of young 'uns in his space (stealing his human's affectons!) - there is no way he would allow Luna to lie in the same bed as him or Sniper if he really had an issue with her. No aggressive body language there - just the frustration that we all get about change as we get older, and putting Luna in her place in the pecking order. But you know they need to make it seem like a big drama! LOL

Aww no foolin' Mister? I didn't wanna be cocky on Pt.1 cos it got real emotional real quick, but I was like "Are you suuuure she ain't stayin' ?" I'm not even a huge dog-person and she melted me with those eyes alone. I swear Kaiser was giving the "She can stay but I'm too proud to admit it!" looks when you asked him! Although I'm sure that's all me seeing that.

Heck, sometimes even human siblings don't accept each other. One of my friends, his son doesn't really like his sister, ever since she was born. It's been a few years too. Luna seems lovely though. The boys seem to be fun as well.

My wife wanted to rescue Border Collies to find forever homes. After a couple of foster failures like yours, we finally got going bringing in rescues temporarily. The high point was having twelve BCs in our home after rescuing a litter of six. At that, one of that litter never left as she was injured, requiring an investment to make here whole. We are out of rescue and rehoming and now have a pack of seven: one BC and six little, happy dogs. Thanks for the video and I am sure you won't regret your 'failure.' She looks like a very sweet pup.

It took my 11 year old lab about a week to warm up to the new lab puppy. 2 years later they're ace pals. Hang in there!

Oh man this reminds me of when my Dad and I got a large terrier pup (my dad named Winston because Churchill 😅) to go with our Black lab Harley. We picked him up from the SPCA after he passed a quarantine cause he was a Rez dog rescue (Indian reservation) Anyway Harley took an instant disliking to Winston the second we got him in the truck, This huge, black lab who probably wouldn't hurt a fly actually snarled at Winston. I think it took a month for Harley to warm up to him and we where worried but one night we found Winston laying on top of Harley and they turned out to be best buds after that. The only times Harley ever got mad with Winston since was if Winston got in the car first. He just wasn't having anything to do with that. Dogs, go figure.😅😅

This is awesome! I love your aviation channel but wasn't sure there would be much I would be interested in over here. Wow, I was wrong. I'm the dad to three rescues and a "hey mister, you want a puppy", dog. I love my dogs and always enjoy meeting others whom I share that bond with. Looking forward to seeing more of your furry family. I was at an air show in Atlanta years ago and got to meet Dale "Snort" Snodgrass after watching him perform in a P-51. I was in awe of one of the baddest Tomcat pilots ever. He was there with his dog. A dog that was about the size of a loaf of bread. I figured the guy for a wolf or something. But there he went with this little 10" tall dog leading the way. Never have forgotten that image. Apparently fighter pilots love their dogs, of all sizes.

Having no dog or one dog - that is hard decision at the beginning. But having two dogs or three dogs... well the difference is smaller than it seems to be :) Don't worry, as she gets a bit older, it will work better. And having a pup in band is better for all of them. She will learn faster from them and they will get some more energy :D
