(Please excuse the title screen. I was experimenting)
As promised, here are the links:
cougarcomics:
• Comic Book Cabinet - has his completed version of his cabinet and also has a couple links to other cabinet videos as well in his description
• BUILDING THE COMIC CAB... - cougarcomics video where he was building his cabinet
Paco_VJ:
• Comic Book Storage - video of his completed cabinet.
pacovj.blogspot... - very good page that has Paco_VJ's list of materials and some measurements. Make sure to note that with his diagram for the cabinet, he has very left drawer measured 1 inch wider than the others, so he can put Trade Paperbacks in that drawer.

Thanks for all the comments (including future comments) about my project! I apologize that it's taken me so long to respond to some comments and for not responding to some! In the future I will certainly try to be more timely about my responses!

I am in total amazement. When I saw this thumbnail I thought this was an image from MY comic book room. You and I made almost the exact same drawers. I have highlighted the drawers in my comic book room a few times on my KZbin channel. Your video is older than my drawers, I can’t help but wonder if I saw your video before and don’t remember it. Super incredible design and utility.

Fantastic work! A few questions, 1. how did you create those notches in the drawers for the separator and the plexi? What a fantastic improvement on the other designs. 2. I have another question on the width of the shelves, I have seen that vary a bit, I am going to check some of the other videos, but I am planning shelves only for silver and modern books, not golden. I would think 9 “ width would be a tad much. Thanks for a great video! regards, Steve

Thanks for the comment! 1. I'm just gonna paste a response to an earlier post, since it still applies: In order to get the grooves, I just lowered table saw blade and used scrap wood to make test passes until I got the depth I wanted. Then I just slowly moved the fence until I got the right width for the slim board to slide into. That said, doing it that way doesn't give the front of the drawer much stability, so I stopped using the slim board in the new cabinet. Instead, I cut a 1/2 inch board to screw in place where the slim board was on the older drawers. 2. To be honest, (in my opinion) the inside measurement of the drawer can be rather tricky. I measured mine to be 7 1/2 inches, which was maybe 1/4-1/2 inch wider than comic with bag & board. That said, I DO have a couple of drawers that turned out to be too slim for the dividers. The comics (bagged & boarded) fit fine, but the dividers don't fit. So, if you don't mind cutting the plastic dividers to fit, 7-1/2 inches should be a good measurement. If you'd rather not deal with resizing the dividers, I go with 8 inches to be safe. It might be a bit bigger than the comics, but at least you won't have to worry about the dividers. All that said, I should probably post at least a picture of my most recent cabinet (which has been completed for a couple of years, I think lol), which is actually a cabinet of 6 drawers across by 5 rows of drawers for a total of 30 drawers (and I made 2 of them and one is almost full LOL)!

I seen the other videos and was wondering how I could modify them to fit my needs...you can actually stack yours which is perfect for those on an income. One section at a time...great job.

So is the plywood lighter?

The plywood was a tad bit lighter than the melamine, but I eventually went back to the melamine for aesthetic reasons

Looks amazing! How did you cut the grooves in the front of each drawer to slide in the slim board and plastic piece?

Thanks for the tips! I like that you have each row as a separate unit. Should make it easier to move around if you ever moved or changed rooms, etc.
