Wow, how beautiful they all are, I loved how that brown poodle crossed her front legs around your arm Lee, she didn't want to let go, I reckon she's got something more in her than poodle, the puppies are adorable, I got so excited as if I was about to greet them. I love fostering, but hate giving them up, I have only ever foster failed with 3 dogs, not bad I say😁

The 2 brown poodle looking dogs look like they could be Portugese Water Dogs ( probably not)....my friend had a liver color that looked just like them ( he was purebred)

​@@pixiemoo4471 high rates of neglect and abuse, and people seem to think pets are just completely disposable. The shelters are all high kill in Texas, usually within 3 days they are euthanized..healthy or not. They are so over capacity all time. It's known to be the worst state for this.

The sweetest rescue l ever adopted was Marley. Unfortunately, many "owners" in SC folks would dump their pets at the shelter when they were leaving for vacation or just couldn't be bothered to care for their dogs once they grew out of the cute puppy stage. My brother in Ithaca adopted a beautiful girl from Alabama. I don't know why the south seems to have so many unwanted animals brought to shelters. Growing up in upstate NY l had never seen anything like the overcrowded conditions in SC. Thank God there are so many volunteers willing to foster and/or transport animals to states throughout the country.

​@@kf5034 SC is also really bad. I lived in Texas for 7 years, where l noticed a different dynamic between dogs & owners. Even "normal" people kept their dogs outside or in a barn, and viewed them as animals. Where I'm from (the snow belt of Rochester NY), our dogs had to live inside. They are considered family, not just pets.
