Fostering a Positive School Climate to Support Attendance - Student Engagement and Attendance Center

This is a recording of the U.S. Department of Education’s Student Engagement and Attendance Center (SEAC)’s Learning Series on Proactive Schoolwide Strategies for Supporting Attendance. In the second session of our three-part series, we were joined by Greta Colombi, Director of the National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE). Attendees and presenters engaged in a robust discussion on "Fostering a Positive School Climate to Support Attendance”.
Participants discussed themes surrounding student connectedness and belonging in school communities, challenges and barriers in supporting school climate efforts, and connected with peers to share strategies and resources ideas for supporting a positive school climate.
