Fostering Floppy 1. In the beginning

All the Greys I've had, were special needs. It brings a bit of added joy, to give a special needs one a home, that no one wanted. All they need is patience. When that quirk would arise, I would just laugh and say, "your just like Daddy, we got a couple issues". Talking from experience from having my 4. It's amazing how a stable quiet environment, with patience and love, how those quirks mostly just fade away. And then seeing their true personality come out, and knowing they are happy. There's a feeling of joy and special love you get, that I cannot put into words.

The 'special needs' ones, as you put it, are definitely the quirkiest. Mine have all been great characters once they get a chance to shine

Ahhh bless his heart. He's a lovely lad. With your guidance and help I'm sure floppy is going to turn out be a cracking lad. Looking forward to seeing more videos of floppy. Good luck Floppy your soon get your forever home.

well done,i hope he finds a good home hes a lovely dog..our sweeney is the same 5 years at racing kennels with 98+ races and 21 wins its been a challenge to get him to act like a normal hound but hes coming around nicely.well done jill.

Great video and insights. We have 1 retired greyhound (big, black, male 😄) and was debating on getting another and thought fostering could be a way of helping a dog on its way to being fully homed whilst seeing if we could cope with 2 at the same time. Alot to think about and this series on Floppy will be very helpful to see how it goes and consider the points you mention on fostering. Love it ! 😀

Aw. He is a good hearted boy. Must be so strange for these wonderful dogs after being kept at race tracks kennels, then homing kennels etc Their poor nerves...yet all they need is a good life, one they all deserve, to exist in love and care ..to be 'home'. Floppy has such cute expressions on his face. I am sure he will come on in leaps and bounds. He will make the right person a wonderful companion friend once he finds that settled forever safe loving home. Oh Gill, thankyou for all you do and for sharing so many valuable insights🙏🏻

I am eager to see how you can get him to stop urinating on almost everything. Do treats help to guide him in this aspect? He is lovely and I love his face.

I think that one will take some time. At the moment we are managing it by reducing the opportunity to do things he shouldnt
