LOVE THIS! Unconsciously, this is an important lesson we modeled and taught our kids. Thanks for articulating it so well.

I felt the same thing too about certain boring songs Thad. Example: Avril Lavigne “Complicated “ and Natalie Imbruglia “Torn” songs constantly playing over and over again everyday days while I want to listen to the music I like on radio stations in my car. But I still have to accept it like or not. It’s should be a valuable lesson to learn about delayed gratification at some point. If I don’t learn how to let go of my unrealistic expectations for myself, it will spill other areas of my life. Thank you for your advice Thad. It’s helpful for me what I struggle with.
