My review of the Fotasy Nikon to Micro Four Thirds lens adapter. I didn't run into any problems using the adapter. There are a few things that should be kept in mind:
1. Going from full frame to M43 results in a 2x crop factor. An adapted 50mm will have the same field of view as a 100mm on a full frame camera.
2. Larger lenses will stress the lens mount. Be sure to support the lens at all times. There are lens adapters with built in tripod collars, but they are more expensive.
3. There is no automatic aperture iris control. Stopping a lens down past f/5.6 will likely make focusing difficult.

Weight was being considered, but the additional bit about having to open the aperture in order to focus really caught me off guard, but I can see the point and appreciate the heads up as I have been considering the "speed boost" versions out there that come with $300 price tags. So instead, I think I'll sell an older (rarely-used, but valuable) lens (Nikon AF-S 17-55mm F2.8 G) and simply buy the M4/3rds version I'm trying to emulate (a Nikon AF 85mm F1.4) verses the adapter route. Even thought I would get an equivalent 120mm F1, it would be heavy for the body, and I would lose all electronic communication AND having to open the aperture to focus . . . yeah, no. Thank you!

I have a lumix g1 camera body and I bought a k&f concept lens adapter to use Nikon lens and although thei physically fits. I cannot get the lens to work. It keeps stating “make sure lens is attached”. Any ideas?
