Thanks for these videos. I shoot pentax 67II, and have the 45mm, 105mm, and 150mm. I'm planning on getting either the GFX 50s II or the GFX 100s so I would love if you could go into more detail about the differences between the pentax lenses on the 50s II and the 100s, with examples if possible. Would also love to know how the Pentax 45mm adapts to the GFX sensor, as I do architecture photography. Cheers!

I don’t have access to a 45 , I have done some more tests outdoors with the 55 (and a newly acquired 120 macro) and so far I really like the 55 under certain circumstances. High contrast highlight areas, backlit situations are problematic, even for the 55 which seems to be my best Pentax lens. It seems to me that lenses can be all over the place and some might work better in certain situations, I still think that they all work better on the 100 sensor, something about that new design? the good thing is that adapters are cheap and if you have the lenses, you are ready to go. I shoot architecture myself and I am not sure I would trust any of the Pentax lenses for a job simply because windows and or lights will probably show optical shortcomings. I am not saying your lenses won’t work, I am sure you can get great shots but there are better solutions. A lot of people use canon T/S I have used the laowa ultrawide myself, it is good but the Fuji gf glass is better. Hope that helps, I am planning to post more , feel free to ask questions!

@@paulschefzthanks for your reply and info. Do you have any experience with the 100s and Pentax 67 lenses? Wondering if you think they work better on 100s than 50s II

I had the 135 and the 200mm for my 6x7

the 135 macro? am looking at it right now, the 200 is too long for me but there are so many great lenses in that line up!

I'm confused; what adapter did NOT have a button to release the lens?
@paulschefz29 күн бұрын
I ordered this adapter from amazon and the one they sent was missing the lens release button, which is of course not something you expect, so I put the lens on and ended up having a hard time getting it off. returned and ordered a new one directly from fotodiox.

@@paulschefz Thanks! I think Amazon often sells "grade B" or returned items without being clear about it. I bought a couple of Seiko & Citizen watches from Amazon, at a very reduced price, and they work fine, but have slight defects, like chrono second hands not aligning with the zero mark. In a store, the watch would likely be refused by a purchaser.

@@EElgar1857 I have bought items marked as used on amazon and they are usually in better condition then described but this one was supposed to be new and I honestly did not even noticed that the button was missing. until I could not figure out how to get the lens off!

Hartblei do shift adapters to work with Mamiya lenses

terrible story, AFAIK they have lost everything, not sure they ever made anything for GFX
