How to print the Fotospeed Custom profiling chart - Fotospeed | Paper for Fine Art & Photography

Hi Tim. You have explained the process to set to print on the Mac and PC but make no reference to the hardware settings/profiles built in to the printer. Do we apply the same media profiles in the printer as we do in the software or will the software settings override the printer settings irrespective of what they are? E.g. if the software is set for Pro Platinum Gloss and the printer for Plain Paper, who wins? Thanks

Hello Tim, I've tried several times to download the Profiler , but the page doesn't even load to do so . Have tried work arounds but still cant get to the down load . Its a shame as this video has helped me a lot . what are my options ?

Hi Tim, novice question. I assume we generate a test page for each paper type and printer type. So I have a PRO-1000 and I I have 4 different paper types I create a colour sheet for each paper type I have? Do we need to consider different batches of the same paper or is the quality consistent enough to not get that specific?

Hi, yes you are correct, you will need to do a test page for each printer and paper, however the not different batches. We do recommend getting new profiles yearly or sometimes before this if you notice changes in the quality of prints as printers drift slightly overtime.

i have ventura mac 13.2.1 and these instructions are not working as i cant access adobe colour printing utility?

Does it matter if I print from the Adobe color print utility when I use Capture one when I print normally?

No once the charts are printed and the profile made you can use them in any software. Tim

I find it a bit odd that we need a custom profile for each individual printer, surely the hardware is exactly the same for each printer? I mean it’s like saying every television can be slightly different, I would have thought it only thing which could make a difference is the ink, hence when buying something like wallpaper it’s important to get the same batch numbers. Please explain a bit further.
