A blast from the past as people of my age might describe it; here is a recording of an outside broadcast that I thought had been lost to humanity, happily this is not the case, and therefore I present you - dear viewer - with this period gem, a vintage film showing what life was like during lockdown 1.0. Every frame is pregnant with nostalgia for this lost world now part of history. Otherwise it's more or less the usual nonsense, filmed on the Terrace of Mark's Club as @mafrocc and I get to grips with the Trinidad Fundadores.

Cubans are quite atainable here in the states. There are enough new world cigars to truly beat the cuban flavor but I must admit, many of my favorites are Cubans. Truly yours, Your American Cousin

And Nick I had no idea the extent of your writing. I keep seeing the Cigars book in the videos but wow you have an impressive bibliography on a lot of great topics. As a Canadian living in Florida, land of the free, we have so many amazing cigar lounges selling the best cigars in the world made in Nicaragua like Padron, Plaesancia or Perdomo or Dominican Republic like Davidoff so who needs Cuban cigar and I lived in Cuba for two years, cigars too expensive and full of defects , poor quality control at 3 times the price.

I just wish you would smoke more cigars from Nicaragua like the Padron or Romeo Julietta 1875, just great cigars full of flavors. As someone that lived and smoked Cuban cigars in Cuba for two years, I found that by far the best value as to price quality are the top Nicaragua cigars and so many of them but what do I know I've been smoking cigars for 51 years as for Fidel Castro may he rot in hell forever remember I experience Cuba like a native with secret police and agents coming for Cubans constantly.

Was so disappointed with the last Fundadores I bought. Couldn’t get a draw through them. I’ve had so much pleasure from all the Trinidad range, also in the past with the Fundadores, but the recent batch I bought was wasted...none of them smokable. Love your videos gentlemen. Keep up the good work

Great discussion. I spent last Christmas in NYC (I live in the Midwest) and had a Manhattan at the Plaza Hotel. It was billed as a Black Manhattan, using Averna Amaro in the place of sweet vermouth, with an orange garnish. A superb dark, rich variation on an already superb cocktail.

And again 4126 views, not so many thumbs up this is an absolute disgrace, come on you people out there, these two fine gents are worth every second. Well I Thankyou from the bottom of my heart, reducing me to tears of such happy memories. I worked with Bruno at Claridges I was an Asst. Manager there all those years ago. I remember Mark Brierley, both Gentlemen. Bruno made everybody happy and got the day off to a good start. Her Majesty, the Late Queen Mother also liked the Berkeley, I think that was her favourite, I am not sure she would like it now. That is a beautiful cigar indeed and Thankyou so much for reminding me that there are indeed even in these times some joys that us older lovers of sartorial elegance can still find pleasure in. I have recently moved and have found some real gems from my days in London, Some well cared for Punch cigars, some Churchill’s, and a couple of Davidoffs. And some wonderful Cogncs and Armagnac, Remy Martin and my favourite Exchause (Cannot remember the correct spelling and the bottle is back locked away till my petit caller is ready
