Interesting finds. Either the Germans deliberately destroyed these weapons or battle damaged weapons were put in a pile and left there? I would love to have a relic ppsh-41 and a few of those anti-tank rounds.

what these guys are doing is VERY common in Russia. There are groups who even fight over areas to search for. Basically all over western Russia is a goldmine of tons of ww2 stuff. German, Russian. If you get lucky and find a nazi generals grave or something, you could find some rare medals. Thats what most people look for. Mostly people just find old helmet, Mosin's, and K98s. Maybe some few STG44. Keep in mind the fighting was brutal in these areas, and these whole areas are literally mass graveyards. War is dirty.
