Scrap & Pallet Man I have 1 question about scrap yard weighing your scrap metal . The question is when weighing metal on a scale like here frame 9/11 isn't the whole metal supposed to be on the scale and not hanging over to get the right weight ? I'm just curious. Because I noticed alot of times some yards make sure the metal is all the way on the scale and some yards don't seem to care . Peace & love 💛 💚 💜 💙 👍 ☺ ✌ .
@ScrapPalletMan6 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. As long as the metal is not touching something that is off the scale it is all good. Just like having your arms out to the side when we are on the bathroom scale does not change our weight

Paul just a suggestion a lot of times you get good stuff that can be resold for lots more money than scrap value you might want to look into downloading some apps such as Craigslist offer up Let Go Facebook Marketplace and sell on those platforms it's free it's easy if you have a smartphone you can take pictures and list everything right on your phone I myself do it all the time I'm 58 years old and it's very simple to do check it out

That EdenPure heater is quite expensive, made in the USA, and if it doesn’t work, they are good about replacing them. If it did work it’s an easy sell. I have two and love them for keeping warm in the winter. A quick online search might have stopped you from cutting that cord?

Hey at 8:40 weighing in that aluminum dose the scale have a raised edge or is it completely flat? Because it looked like your aluminum was raised up on the far end like it was leaning on something off the scale which would give a false reading on the lighter end.

I enjoy your video's but I really need to ask you about the financial viability of what you are doing. By the time you have bought gas, insurance, vehicle maintenance and pay income tax how much can you be making on the small amount you get for the scrap? Is it more about saving it from landfill than being economically viable.
@JamesCouch7775 жыл бұрын
He talks about that in a lot of his videos. When you add up the shred, copper, aluminum, resale, youtube income and merchandise I'll bet he's doing pretty good...besides it's something he enjoys doing which is worth more than anything else.

Enjoy your videos brother. Have you checked to make sure it is legal to pull things from the recycling bins? In my area people can be charged with theft, seen lots do it and not heard of any being charged, but it isn't legal here. Same with dumpsters unless you have permission. Have heard of scrappers being charged with trespass for not getting permission.
@ScrapPalletMan6 жыл бұрын
For Waste Management, they only recycle paper class aluminum cans and consumer Plastics. Anything other than that is a problem for their sorting. So yes if someone puts a bed frame into the recycle bin it is very much okay for us to take it and bring it to a scrap yard. But it is not okay for us to take aluminum cans out of a recycling bin. That would be very wrong. It's not okay for us to take something that is already being recycled and to recycle it to gain the money. It's already being recycled

I’m referring to a comment you made about how God works. Only those who follow Him ever really know that. Our commitment to Him gets more for us than money can buy. There are many times in my life, that I was going to turn one way( actually driving, not a life turn), and something prompted me to go another way. In doing that, I have avoided being late for work, late for an appointment or even avoided an accident, that I would hear about later. The only way I could have possibly known was that still small voice that I have come to recognize so well. Keep doing what you’re doing, the way you’re doing it and God will bless you!😊👍🏻
