Paul, what a nice job you did on straightening up your yard! It looks great. I would do as you have been doing - when in Sycamore, do business there and if you are only in DeKalb - do business there. Gas and wear and tear on your vehicle costs money, too.

Hey Paul! It is awesome to see another video from ya! I enjoy them so much to see how you enjoy the simple things in life while making a bit of money! As well, it is awesome to see you and your boy together! Hope the snowblower works and saves you both a lot of work! Looking forward to seeing more and more videos from you and hopefully one day a wire cleanup from ya! As for where to go you love DeKalb so you might as well go there unless it is a major heavy amount it isnt worth you to go to the other yard and again this isnt about money it is about working and having fun! God bless and Merry Christmas to you and the family and know you and your family are in my prayers always! Cheers

Thank you for the uplifting prayer. I needed it. I stopped smoking, been on the patch for 3 weeks , but have cheated many times. The last 3 days I have had none... I'm not myself though, I space out a lot and at times just feel sad and sick. I have cancer too so I've been really sick... I can't give in though, I'm not a quitter... Just need to move on and maybe enjoy a little more life with our Lord. Oh I have a room mate now, he's a tree and I talk to it a lot, He in return has been teaching me how important is to have Love and the Light...

Paul, I love that you praise God. You found so many things. I'm hoping to find another mini trampoline like the one that you found and tossed. I used to jump on mine a few times before I went to work and then a few times when I got home from work. It seemed like my stomach was starting to shrink. But because my ex husband told me to leave it outside it got ruined on the back porch. One day I went to jump on it and a leg broke off. I'm not sure if someone else jumped on it and broke it and then made it look okay, but I could have gotten hurt on it. When I get another one I'm going to make sure that I check it out before I start to jump on it. I love the way you make your videos. I love your laugh. Stay Strong, Cheryl

Hey brother, A tip for you. In my scrapping I picked up a very cheap pair of tree limb loppers someone threw out. I discovered they worked even better than bolt cutters to cut large insulated wire such as what dryers and stoves have. They don't work on copper tubing but are amazing on insulated wire.

That table saw early in video... the belt goes directly from motor to blade pulley, the weight of the motor keeps tension on the belt, and if the blade binds while cutting it will likely stop rather than throw the stock across the room, just have belt slippage. Early safety .. yay.

Another factor when deciding which scrap yard to use is the extra cost of gas to get to Sycamore and back. It's probably not worth the gas money to drive the extra distance for a few cents.
@ScrapPalletMan6 жыл бұрын
I just did the math. Driving an extra 15 miles is a little more than $1.50 gasoline.

On large heavy loads I would drive the extra distance and on the lighter ones stay more local. It just makes sense to do it that way not only because of the money but your hard work loading and unloading makes a difference. You are worth it to make extra money on the heavier loads.
