Q: What method do I use to shiny hunt?
A: I use the Permutation method; Short explanation is that I catch and/or KO pokemon in a horde in a specific order to change the spawns in the second horde and hopefully find a shiny. This works for hunting regular pokemon and alphas. For a more in-depth explanation, I recommend checking out Austin John Plays as he's put out some informative videos regarding this method. I have Shiny Charm in PLA and I feel your pain. I shiny hunted before I got Shiny charm and I did get some shinys but it was very hard and test your patience, today, some shiny pokemon in PLA just REFUSE to pop up even with shiny charm. IDK why.

Ofc the permutation method did not guarantee a shiny alpha. I found 2 shalpha horde of chimchar back to back and even I tried all permutation (even battling the first 4 of 2nd horde to get different in the last 2-3 spam of 2nd horde), I did not find Shalpha chimchar. What a disappointing day as I spent the whole day for nothing
