Found my Grandfather's truck!!!

New Build! OBS time with the most special truck we've ever bought. 35 years ago, this was purchased new from Buck Glenn Pontiac GMC in Meridian, Mississippi by grandfather. It was the last vehicle he ever owned. After 20 years, it's' back in the family. Welcome to project, "Daddy Bill".

My mom had my grandfather's 69' or 70' impala. He restored it in 79'. He died in 80'. My mom bought it from my grandmother in 81'. Black on black with the high horse 327'. Ex police car. I miss that car. I wish I had it.

First thing I would do is clean, clean, clean, it looks in relatively good shape. Fix the door pins, lifter or exhaust tick, lower it, 4wdb, and wheels. Paint it if you’re not a patina guy( I’m not, still love shiny paint and straight bodies) and enjoy it. Oh and I would have to have a picture of grandpa in there somewhere so he can ride with you in his old truck.

Check out the new chassis “yeah buddy garage” is doing on his obs…. Lt would be awesome to watch cause that’s looking like the future for mine as well but LS may be cheaper/better in the long run.

It's to supposedly get more air in for more power. Didn't work on injected engines. I don't know if it helped on a carb. Lol
