My fridge scree went black, i even unpluged and plugged but it was all black. So I used the red switch and the pad rebooted!!!! Now is normal again. Thank you for you video, it save my a lot of headaches :)

The first time that it happened to me, I just unplugged the fridge, but I had to move many things in order to do it, this time with the red button was to easy, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE INFORMATION.

This helped thanks! Mine was frozen with the bixby logo at the top for some reason. Flip the red switch and everything is back to normal. 👍🏿

If it keeps happening press the tab next to the home screen hold for 5-7 seconds until it says factory data reset.

Hold for 3-6 seconds. You will see the option to factory data reset.

The red reset button will just restart the screen but if it keep happening or you have frozen screens etc you need to factory data reset the screen. I’m a Samsung Service tech. No call backs on that.

Perfect! Very helpful. Any chance you have a fix for the worst ice maker ever? Mine continues to frost up and I have to use a steamer to unfreeze (monthly). Samsung doesn't cover this design flaw as part of the warranty.

Mine only recently started doing this. I wonder if this correlates with not changing the water filter on the 6 month schedule? As I was delayed updating my c.card on the fridge to do the automatic ordering for me - when a new filter arrives = I change it. I'm thinking try this out, as mine is back making ice correctly!

Replacing the insides did stop the frosting issue - seems the replacements are also plastic & sound like it's hard work to ask for crushed ice...

A tip for when the touch screen stops working or works very little. Connect a mouse and/or keyboard to the part of the usb where the button is. This way you can operate the screen like a PC and best of all... not spend $700 to replace the screen.

@@AmyGilbert After 3 years, and many times the touch failed and the screen was turned off for days, the touch did not work. But now with a Bluetooth usb connected with a mouse and keyboard, the touch magically worked again.

The Family Hub touchscreen hates me. My touchscreen is not completely unresponsive, but finnicky. It's almost like it's barely registering a touch. Some times it would bring up menu, when I am simply swiping. Or it doesn't swipe completely. Majority of the time, it takes 10 or 20 taps to get it to register. What's interesting is the touchscreen works perfectly if my other hand is touching ANY PART (the door, the side) of the refrigerator. I'm wondering if there is a grounding issue. Can anyone help?

For those like me that this didn't work. Unplug it for 5+ mins and plug it back in. That fixed the non responsive screen issue I had.
