Lou, how do you do it? You continually raise the bar of what you feature with more and more automobile beauty every video. You are a true automotive visual historian as you go from car to car preserving each for future generations to see. I cannot overstate how important your work is - if someone loves cars, your channel would be a great place to spend days reviewing the best and most beautiful vehicles ever made as you go from automotive generation to another. And, you capture the vehicle's stories through their owners which is just as important as the visual footage. Thanks for what you do, Lou! You are first rate!

Lou has great production and photography. Much of the time the owners are more expert in their cars than an auto historian. This 1949 concept car is more stylish than the 1950 production car in my opinion. That rear is really space age , a great piece of automotive history. A beautiful restoration by the perfect owner for this classic.

Wow, what a find! I'm a fan of the Motorama shows and have been seeing pictures of it for years! Good job. Along with a Buick and Olds, these cars started the two-door hardtop craze! Interesting tidbit - as mentioned, these cars were first referred to as "Hardtop Convertibles" because they were made to look like a convertible with the top up. When pillarless four-doors and station wagons started to appear a few years later, the "convertible" part of the name was dropped for obvious reasons. Thereafter, pillarless models were simply called "hardtops" vs. "sedans" which had a floor to roof B pillar.

Thanks for this video. Over the years I have seen pictures and articles in the Cadillac&LaSalle Club magazine THE SELF STARTER but this is the first video I have seen. It was great. I would have liked to have seen the other Fleetwood sedan motorama car.

Hi Lou, in your 1949 Caddy videos I notice that the model ID tags have either 67 or 37 as the last 2 digits. You might be interested to know that from the late 1940s through the 1970s, GM cars used 37 to designate a 2 door pillarless hardtop, and 67 indicated a 2 door convertible. My 1966 Corvair Monza 4 door hardtop uses body code 39 to indicate a pillarless 4 door hardtop. 27 indicated a 2 door sedan and I think 29 indicated a 4 door sedan. GM's last pillarless models were the 1976 4 door full size cars. Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick also featured 2 door hardtops for the last time in 1976. A shame they didn't continue this attractive body design.
