I am not sure if it is or not but at 3:10 above your right hand there is a dark round rock about the size of a quarter and to the right of it looks like a small bead. Had you been checking for beads as well?
@kb80302 жыл бұрын
Great day! So I could answer all your questions you had but I’ll start with the rock. The multi-colored point with the bullseye shows that the chert has 5 potential colors…all the pts that are white, tan, yellow, black or brown come from the same source…but that must have ran short bc they didn’t use quartz unless totally necessary…also, your nice quartz pt is called a Morrow Mountain and is 5-7,000 yrs BP…I would be happy to answer any questions bc I know I could help you get on more sites like this…peace!

@16:49 😵😵😵😵A Battlefield!!! That’s just what I thought! indigenous peoples might have been battling Megalodon sharks at that site. That explains the variety of artifacts. Unless of course, it was the Battle for Middle Earth. I'll be the first to admit that my imagination might be getting carried away with me. I did stop by the dispensary on my way home tonight. Nice finds, Boys!!!

The piece of green glazed pottery (the third along in the row at 30.44) is most likely early 17th Century if not earlier. The green glaze was used from the 13th Century through till the early 17th Century and many areas produced it in the British Isles and imagine it is English. It looks similar to some of the pottery sherds from Jamestown

Awesome site guys, congrats on the finds. Broke or not I don't care, their still historical pieces of the past. It's awesome to get a glimpse of someone's way of life in the wild past. We forget about how hard it really is to feed are belly's when there isn't a refrigerator or fast food joint around. Every throw of an arrow or spear was life or death. Obesity was non existence.

That site is just so dang amazing! Love all those Native items and teeth. The coins were nice too. So many points you'd think there was a battle there. That enormous molar went to a big draft horse, maybe. Not sure what roamed around here in prehistoric times but there were mastodons, horses, stuff like that once the waters receded. thanks, great job!

Woweee what a Great Site! LOVE watching yall find some Native! I see you found another Mako blade! Very kool! The easiest way to figure out the difference BTW Mako s and Great Whites is that Great White Shark teeth have Serrations and Mako shark teeth do not, they are smooth. Those Points are killer. Your big white one is a Morrow Mountain, so are all the others that look the same . I could be wrong on that, but considering that's usually what we find here in Sc I'm geussing it's the same. Great Vidayoo!!

Billy's hollow arrowhead is fire popped. Some points would end up in a fire. There are all kinds of theories on why they were in a fire. The intense heat would turn any moisture in the stone to steam and would sometimes pop one side of the point. never seen one as extreme as this one that still had its shape.

You guys foun a KILLER spot for the Native artifacts. All Native made artifacts broken or PART are great finds. Ya guys found some cores too. Cover the area like a blanket and check closer to shore for larger flat nutting stones should be a few around. Can I ask if the beach is 3 sides of water. Acre or more jetty ? No need for high banks but helps. Sorry for telling ya what to do but I think ya found a LARGE many year camp site.

I wonder if the natives used the bigger shark teeth as arrow heads? Would be a lot easier than making them out of stone... All pointy and sharp, ready to be mounted to an arrow shaft. Hoping for some more beeping next time!

Where I’m from we find perfect obsidian points. My buddy found a ten inch spear head dtrait black obsidian about three inches wide and not a chip off of it and also found a knife and hundreds of the most beautiful points I’ve ever seen I myself found the middle section of a spear head that should be over six inches. Shashone natives really know what they’re doing too and the volcanic deposits in this area have some seriously incredible obsidian that’s black brown and black and grey and black that’s clear when it’s thin we’ve found arrowheads so thin you could see through them when you hold them up idk how the heck they aren’t broken when they’re like that some are tho. Super cool finds guys the one at 24:00 would have been about a half inch more we have several like that so I’d say half inch to inch longer
