At one local university where I live, they have what they call dump day at the end of year. Stuff goes to the University arena and they have a giant yard sale. Great way to get rid of what students can`t take home. And a great place to pick up small appliances, paper and school supplies, sports equipment, etc. Reduces garbage.

I love that you save so much from going to landfill. The world needs more people like you.

My son just graduated at the beginning of May. The stuff thrown out/left behind is definitely a pickers dream. His roommates alone left a kurig, a 32" flat screen tv, a microwave, toaster and more. Of course i took it all!!

Tip= If you see anything with cactus or flamingos on them, pick them and sell them at flea market. Any item with those motifs are selling fast. I saw a light up cactus sign that you missed in one of the trash cans, but of course it is easier for me to see it in your video. :)

I rented my house to 3 college guys while I was waiting for it to sell. I can vouch that they do NOT put their garbage out weekly. And when they moved out I had to hire someone to take all the crap, including some furniture that they left behind. No, they didn't get their security deposit back :)

Inspirational. I’ve started filming my trash picking runs. I met a guy a few weeks ago out picking who suffers from depression and we were talking about channels like this and how when he can’t go out he likes watching the videos and would like to see more content from our country (Australia). I was disappointed that you need a certain subscriber count to livestream as I’d like to take people along on trips but oh well. Thanks for sharing it’s a nice area of the country you live in.

I know some folks who run a thrift store and disaster relief agency as needed. Volunteers help with college moveout days in exchange for keeping the good dishes, clothes, furniture that the kid's throw out.

I really enjoyed this video, especially the last stop with all the vintage stuff. Loved loved love it. Reminded me so much of my grandmother's things. Some of those tin are real old, Taco. I'm 62 and my grandmother used to save some of the tin to put crayons in, that way when we went to spent the weekend with her we always knew where to find them. All the coffee cans with the scenes on them should sell, even the 1976, it would here in the south. It is 44 yrs old. My sister and I have some and we both use one for the big kitchen utensils. I love watching all your videos on trash picking & the locker reveils too. Keep up the good work. Peace Out. God Bless. Huntsville, Alabama

I work as a janitor, in the the first year dorms at the university. When the kids move out they through out so much stuff.. I try to pull out as much stuff as I can that can be donated, but it is hard when you got 1200 students moving out in under a week. If we find anything we want thought, the managers usually lets us take it for a dollar or two, (the money goes to charity). I think this year we had over 60 mini fridges left behind by the students too. These get resold back to the student in September for $25-40 each depending on size. This money goes to charity also

Its so sad to see all that clothing, bedding and such just thrown away. Im sure there are homeless shelters in the area that would be grateful to get clothing and bedding, donations for those who go to them. I am disabled and fighting to get on SSI and have been homeless myself and have been very poor as in way below the poverty level and in fact I still am poor and after I pay my bills, I have $25 left for the rest of the month which means buying clothing and such isnt an option for me and I am positive there are people in your area who are in the same situation as I am., (thankfully there are food stamps and a food shelf here or I wouldnt survive) and its heartbreaking to see how little thought is given to those in need.

I could not have passed that up either. Plus I’m so obsessive that I would have to pick up most of the clothes & stuff to donate to the poor‼️ Took suitcases from neighbors trash, washed loads of baby clothes, donated to 3 different people. Hate to see so much good stuff go to the landfills. We are such a wasteful society. 😞
