The sticky notes that came with the frozen ones aren't sticky notes, they are page flags so you can mark a page in a book so you can remember where you are so if you are studying you can mark multiple pages and there's enough room on the flag for you to add a letter or page number how ever you want to remember what page each flag is marking.

The Belle art style is something Disney has been doing with the classic princesses lately. The kind of imprecise line art and watercolor coloring look.

true, but if you search "belle mrs potts chip" you will also find the official artwork that has way different head proportions and also while the smaller character sketches look fine, the faces on mrs potts and chip in the sketch with belle are VERY wonky, the way traced art usually looks

I actually find that the Encanto one is one of the best journals. It's not a "journal with Encanto theme" but a journal the way Mirabel would make it. The butterflies have great significance to the story, and the art style is actually her own, if you pay attention to the movie. I don't think every product needs to be plastered with images of the characters. Keeping them without actually makes it more mature imo, so more appealing to older kids. In the end these companies aren't lazy but pay actual professionals to evaluate what will sell best - and keep making them because they do sell.

Maybe a hot take but I found way more work put into the Tangled one than the Frozen one. Only the stickers were better but I really liked the "hair" idea that it wasn't only a ribbon and also the pencil was super cute for me.

The Belle art is official. I work as a graphic designer for a board game and puzzle company and that has the disney licence. I recently had to make a princess puzzle and saw this exact art in their collection.

Yeah, if you know about Encanto you know what the story is based off and how important butterflies are to the story. And most of the art is styled in Mirabel’s art style you see on the mural and where she sleeps.

I'm not sure if it's fan art or not, but I do know that Disney has an Art of Princess Designer Collection where all the princesses and villains look sketched and rather than the polished versions we are used to. This could be the case for Belle. That they went with the sketched version rather than the cleaned up/digitally enhanced version.

I have been a huge BATB fan since it came out. I have a pretty good size collection and the way Belle was drawn here has been happening more and more AND on officially licensed memorabilia. I don't know if they think their fans won't care but I am not the first older person who collects from a Disney film. I have seen several different drawings in different ways. It's crazy.

omg i was excited for the beauty and the beast and it actually did the best IMO... also for the drawing of belle, sometimes they will have character art from the animators on items, it's kind of like the drawing of the child version of the characters they have on those baby doll versions of them that you have seen from the disney shop mystery balls

The one I was most excited about seeing was Tangled, but I was also disappointed by it. I was most impressed with Belle, but these products do seem very dollar-tree quality. Even though the theming for Belle was incredible, the items seemed cheap. Especially the upside-down print on the pencil case. I feel like a lot of the films from the Disney Renaissance era have a lot of that artwork on products that is not canon. BatB is one of the ones that they have taken extreme liberties with. While it doesn't look like authentic Disney, it probably is; but as you said, not canon.

I know it's not relevant to this video, but there is a Series 1 of Mini Brands Create Masterchef - very much like the Miniverse Make It Minis. They're expensive (usually), but are 50% off in the US right now, so $9.99 per ball. Unique things: There's a UV light shaped like a chef's toque included - and there's a scan code that takes you to a real recipe for what you've just made in miniature. Thought that was kind cool. Would love to see a comparison between these resin sets and the miniverse ones.
