This synopsis makes her sound a lot more cruel than she actually is. Yes she basically controls everything and makes sure nothing changes--but her programming chip forces her to. She cried when she had to kill Dusk for discovering the secret. She's also clearly disturbed and upset when they force her to do things she doesn't want to. She's both a prison warden and a prisoner.

What season 2 of Foundation, We discover a little more about his origins of DERMERZEL His meeting with the first Cléon and His glass prison. It's visually incredible, it has been divided into several glass blades for 5000 years, when the first CLÉON child discovers it she tells him stories and later frees it. I hope a season 3 is still planned.

My theory is the prime radiant 1.0 is a back door for outliers to spy on were the other prime radiant 1.1 is on a colony populated entirely by outliers, so harry Sheldon 2.0 who is with the survivors from terminus planned to help out Harry Sheldon 2.1 with spywere in the heart of the Empire. Smart

Here's the deal: we will find out that Demerzel is far older than what she disclosed in the Season 2 Finale. We will probably learn that she dates back from the Earth and Spacer Era (Robot Novels) met Giskard, learned psychic abilities and the Zeroth Law (no robot should cause harm to humanity or allow humanity to be harmed). She was the one behind the scenes that put the pieces together for Seldon to develop psychohistory (dare I say that Hari's wife will be revealed to be a robot and Demerzel orchestrated her death to motivate him). I don´t remember any of that from the books. Alone the idea that a robot breaks the 3 laws - unbelievable. And by the way, R. Daneel Olivaw a.k. Demerzel had a male apperance!

for me the show shows one of the future if AI other than just destructive as Terminator or Matrix. in my opinion, Demerzel is the most likely what would happened, not in term of her capability of emotion but having power of will but still can't override her prime directive
