You should try the Lancome Tent Idole Ultra Longwear Foundation Stick. I have oily/acne prone skin and also live in a humid environment. And this foundation looks beautiful on my skin, blends easily, covers everything, and doesn't get shiny throughout the day. I love it. It's a bit expensive but so worth it!

Why can't you blend a stick foundation with a makeup sponge? Some people are soooooooo picky.

Cathy Brown different foundations are made for different application methods or sometimes it's just personal preference

Cathy Brown I can't do it for my skin personally because it just doesn't blend well with the patting motions used with a sponge. With a brush i can at least slide the product around my face to blend. I guess that might be why Zabrena doesn't prefer that method either.

I think it depends on the formula of the stick foundation. The really creamy ones are very blendable with a damp sponge. But the dryer sticks are better with a kabuki brush. They're harder to blend out with a sponge. It'll be patchy and will be cakey when you set it with powder. 🙂

I always thought it could be because there is more oil or beeswax in the ingredients of a stick foundation. Considering our sponges are doused in water before using it on the face, it does go well with the oil/beeswax in the foundation, just how like oil/wax would separate if put into water.

I use a sponge with the MUFE stick foundation because I like it better. There are really no rules and you should apply however you like it best. Thanks for these videos Zabrena, I love finding awesome new makeup.

Haha! I love your personality! I usually don't use stick foundations because they break me out really bad(I found out it's because the thicker emollients imitate sebum). I found the Maybelline and Revlon not to have great coverage but they did look nice and meshed with the skin and I found the Nyx one to have great full coverage so I still occasionally use it as an undereye concealer(being really careful not to get it where I can break out). Also, idk if you know but the Revlon one has mineral SPF so I like using it around my eyes. Thank you so much for these helpful demos and wear tests, you really go above and beyond!

I have oily skin and I really do like the Maybelline sticks! I really like how quick they are to apply and the coverage is nice. They ALWAYS break down if I don't use setting powder though. But I usually use a darker one to contour and that always comes out great

I love the Ulta color correcting stick foundation, its beautiful and has pretty good coverage. I even can mix it with other foundations without it looking cakey. I apply that one with a sponge and it looks beautiful, I use the Real Techniques sponge. Makeup has no rules and if you like the way it applies with a sponge then go for it. I personally think the Ulta one looks beautiful with a sponge.

Great video Zabrena. I've been really curious about stick foundations. I'm 55 with oily skin so I think I'll pass . The drugstore foundations I have had good luck with are the Maybelline FIT ME Matte and poreless, Loreal Infallible Pro Matte, and the Covergirl Clean Matte liquid foundation as well as their BB Cream... Love you and hope you're feeling great. I loved being pregnant. My kids are 21 and 18 now. I had my kids when I was 34 and 37. I had great pregnancies! God bless you Zabrena💕💜

I use the PUR makeup sponge with my makeup forever hd stick foundation and it works fine. It's a bit more dense than the beauty blender which I think makes it easier to blend

I have super dry/combo skin and i litterally CAN'T STAND any liquid foundation, ANY. it would sit on my face, move, cake as hell. i've always used bb creams and tinted moisturizers (i'm a light coverage kinda girl) and only recently bought my first stick foundation and I'm LOVING IT. like, i'm addicted, can't go a day qithout it. the shopgirl had told me stick foundations are better for dry skin then other types and this one doesn't cake on my face at all. i am wearing it right now and it's evening already, just checked and my skin looks flawless! i'm talking about the affordable KIKO FULL PROTECTION STICK FOUNDATION!!!!! haven't found my ideal face primer yet though, they all feel too pore suffocating / silicony on me. any suggestion?

I have the makeup forever HD stick foundation and it only looks nice if I use a damp sponge otherwise it's cakey and horrible but with a sponge it looks flawless and more like skin even when set
