I'm about to help all of u with tree problems. Bring a fat max 30ft measuring tape. It's sturdy enough to poke a disc but collapses down to nothing. Been doing it for years and NOTHING is better. Also before you say it's not stable at length just rest it on the branches as you extend it. Every disc in a tree I see I can get out in under a minute

I've seen SEVEN discs get stuck in a tree while trying to get ONE down. I finally climbed 30 feet up and got everything down. The only one I threw up there was the original one. Dummies tend to hang out together.

You always split dubs winnings and most people split ace pots in doubles. You can run it because your partner successfully parked it, so that’s typically the etiquette.

Playing doubles, my teammate threw his disc into the only tree on the fairway, when we approached the tree we could see it teetering on the edge of a massive Eagles nest. I trying using my retriever but pushed it into the nest. He had to climb the tree and reach into the Eagle nest. 🦅

I've had a wrench tied to a long string in my car for a long time. I slingshot the wrench into the tree, the wrench hooks on to the branch, I pull on the string and it shakes the disc down.

All the doubles I play is mandatory split including ace pot. There’s a lot of holes where one person can play the smart shot and the other can run it. Also if the ace pot is big enough we’ll do $20-$40 back to the card so the team you play with that doesn’t ace gets a few bucks.

Brodie, about the OB in the circle, last tournament i played they put two 15ftx5ft inflatable kiddie pools 10ft in front of the baskets on two holes and called it OB. I'm not joking, local C tier in our capital city, on an overplayed course that everybody (we have like 200 players in the whole country) knows inside out. We have like 11 courses.

I really think that discgolf need to kinda take golfs greens as a concepts. That we don't have these perfect circles. Like let's have green that are different shapes. It would be nice to be like I need to think about coming in from the right instead of left or straight. Like what hunter said with the golf courses

Major BS on making a living playing local tournaments. You would need to clear 30k minimum to live in a small studio apartment. How many players have that many local tournaments that offer a thousand dollar payout every weekend? They’ll still be traveling every weekend. And likely needing to pay for lodging, food, travel, etc. So all of the sudden, that 1k winnings turns into $250-500. You would need to win 5k a month to have any chance at a living after your expenses.

People CAN NOT make a living just playing local events. Sure Dickerson made $30K at local events, but he is one of the best local players of ALL TIME, and we aren't even considering buy-ins, gas, and other expenses which I have to assume is at least $10K. You need that sponsor money (or daddys money) to play this sport for a living.

I think Brodie focuses too much on comparing disc golf to other sports. It’s literally never gonna be as popular. Like never. Can it be improved? Absolutely… but it just will never hold a candle to ball golf or ANY other major professional sport
