- You didn't explain the ending. So the reason Olivia chose to save her and Markie instead of thousands of people, is because, if you remember in the beginning of the movie, she was asked by Markie if 'it was still true she would save her over the rest of the world' and then that kinda proves she would cause she did in the end and yeah

I feel like they chose to tell the world so it never comes back to their turn there is just too many people. More being born every minute so by telling the world, everyone will only get 1 turn. Clever use of foreshadowing at the beginning with you over the world, teasing the ending.

The only reason she asked is assuming the video went viral (which it did) you would have millions of people playing, essentially making you only have to take your turn an average of like 6 times for ur whole life

If it my best friend vs the entire planet, my friends dying. The awww it's so awesome and loyal trope where you damn the entire human race to save someone is not logical, kind or moral. They are still in the game, innocent people including children are going to die horrible deaths, most people will not figure out what is going on and just die without a fair chance making thousands speed through their game and eventually they still will die or have to pass their turn again. This was "clever" but evil. It would be noble to accept your fate and try to keep anyone else from joining the game. So I'd take my turn and try to pass it and then destroy that abandoned place or something not add the entire world to the game.

Would've been better of she chooses to sacrifice herself to end the game after notifying everyone the livestream or she out plays the demon with his own rules. If Olivia picked Truth then the demon would have to pick Dare. Then Olivia could dare the Demon to end the game without killing anybody else. Demon won't be able to do the dare or exact punishment so the demon is stuck in a paradox that causes the game to be stuck on the demons turn. Ending the game entirely. That would've been better endings then the one we got

The thing that made me mad at the ending was during the truth or dare game between the friends at the church Olivia was asked weather she had to save herself and her friends OR all of Mexico what would she choose she said she would choose to save the people of Mexico because that was the right thing to do. What doesn't make sense to me is that when Lucas gets his dare and he is asked to choose between Markie and Olivia, he refuses. Though instead of the demon possessing him to just make Lucas kill himself, he kills Sam too. Nothing up to that point had shown the demon being capable of killing others, seeing as how it's not part of the rules. That's the head scratcher for me

To everyone saying they shouldve dared the demon: thats not possible. The only reason they got the demon in the game with them was to force Marki to pick dare and incomplete the dare while also completing it. If they didnt do this then Marki would've picked truth, either answered and the game would continue, or failed to answer and died. Theres no way to force the demon to pick dare. So what Olivia did was very smart. Also assuming the video has millions of views all across the world theres a high chance some people never get a turn- and if olivia would take the video down after a few million people have seen it- the game would end after anyone who has seen the video. Maybe by dying trough the game or trough unrelated ways. But the game would end. Honestly this movie has some smart things going on, and i actually liked some of these clever little things they did. Such as the character development in olivia who in the beginning says she would pick the world over her friends and in the end picks 1 friend over the entire world. Is it selfish in a way? Yeah. But its character development. Character development isnt always a straight line that develops for the better. Sometimes u bounce back and forth and sometimes it gets worse and worse. Thats what intrueged me. It didnt end with the game ending, it ended with a more unsatisfying feeling. No closure, no guaranteed happiness for our main survivors. Just. The game continues. Anyway sorry for going off but i found the movie pretty interesting. It has flaws, but its definitely better then some slash horrors or god forbid the movie "split"
