I used to be a Coloratura Soprano before my puberty but, then when my voice got matured my voice teacher told me that I changed to a Lyric Mezzo-soprano but then, I also heard feedbacks from other voice teachers saying that I sound more of a Spinto Soprano or a full Dramatic Soprano , some say I sound like a Falcon Soprano or a Dugazon Soprano and now they made me confused !!! I myself think that IAM a Lyric Mezzo-soprano but, there are some Mezzo-soprano arías that are just to low for me and IAM not comfortable singing those arías. I can sing some Soprano arías but I would rather sing arías for Spinto or Full Dramatic Sopranos because Arías that are for Coluratura Sopranos are too high for me, I'd rather sing Vissi d'arte or something like Puccini's without any Coloratura abilities required since my voice is not that fast. My vocal range is from an A3-D6 but, it consumes much of my energy to sing B5 and above and IAM not that comfortable singing notes higher than B5 though I can sing up to a D6 but, it is sooo tiring and it causes vocal strains to my voice

Me too, I joined the choir as an alto but disappointedly I failed there but qualified for soprano. The first time I sang a high note , I felt like dying.
